Telephone from roof to main socket old

Hi the Line from telegraph pole to house roof board is a shielded new cable, the cable from roof board to in side window very old solid core unshielded .

Then from Window to main socket good quality white cable my question is who is responsible for replacing this old cable as i will moving on to 40mb service I have a feeling this little bit of old cable will affect the service?

What do you mean by shielded? Openreach does not deploy shielded cable.

Do you mean twisted and untwisted?
