New ee conection speed has went way down..

Hi all have just signed up to ee as was with adsl24 before
was thinking ee had LLU as I had orange before but I found out that ee.orange are now using bt's own network....

My speed before was around 5100/5500

Now I am getting

as you can see my snr is 15.6dorn 8.7 up

I have been messing around with routers and adsl filters so that could have made bt;s System up the snr

Will my speed go back to what it was before?

I have a 7800n so can force the snr to 6.0db if need be
but would prfer my default snr as before

How lone can it take for bt;s system to reset ?

I am on a 1year contract so I hope I isn't stuck

have called ee and that don't help

If my speed doesn't go back to normal can I get out of my contract can go back to adsl24 or maybe be

While the 3.3 Meg will feel slow it is only just outside the normal range for 50dB attenuation.

Shows that 3750 Kbps to 6000 Kbps is what you would expect.

Yes playing around with lots of plugging/unplugging probably was the problem, and over a couple of weeks if everything is now stable the target margin may come down in chunks of 3dB, gaining you some speed back.

That's the problem! Orange have a habit of setting unnecessarily high NM upon activation and you could try and phone them to relax it. But 1st wait for it to settle in case it is due to your frequent discons.

You should be getting about 5 Meg on ADSL2+, but on your long line it would probably be faster on ADSL1 (G.DMT) or ADSL2. Try forcing those in the ADSL Mode setting of your router. Do it in daylight; it's OK as long as you don't do it too frequently.
