Gfast installed - very happy

[link to this post]

Had my EE Fibre Max 2 installed today.

New Gfast Faceplate installed, Huawei MT992 modem into EE Smarthub.

Line length is 200m as crow flies, 215m road/pavement, but actual line measure by engineer at 250m.

Sync speed on day one is ~ 230mbps I reckon which is giving me ~220/29mbps on speedtests.

https://www.speedtest.net/result/8231656924

Very happy for £47pm.

Just hope the speed stays as it is.

Next job is to get my own router setup to use with it !!!!

What was your g.fast estimate say on BT Checker before installation. As your saying are within 250m away say engineer. I do remember last summer and in 2014 the engineer told me my cabinet is within 250m away so it possible my G.fast could be similiar to u but my g.fast checker say 198/29 but openreach emailed me say this checker are wrong as it should be 227/35.

Nice one on your g.fast. Was EE router any good? for stronger wifi?

You say your D side pair is 250mtrs FTTC (vdsl2) the actual d side length sh ould be around 50-100mts less on G'fast because their are no tie pair lenght to add because the fibre and power are fed from the fttc cab to the PCP gfast pod so no need for tie pairs to /from pcp to vdsl cab?
