Are P2P speeds restricted?

[link to this post]

Hi
I'm thinking of migrating in to orange. I don't download that much via torrents but when i do i like a fast speed. Does orange throttle the speed at all?

Thanks

I've not noticed any limits of shaping to traffic for now, but the unlimited guideline of not downloading 6pm-11pm still remains which is reasonable IMO.

Unless Orange expand their LLU alot more to save costs by moving customers from costly BT IPSTREAM to their own LLU hardware.

Even then when economies of scale allow it'll be Orange's interest to traffic shape eventually.

Could be better not to mention lack of ADSL2 when majority of LLU is on ADSL2 now.

The only slowness I've seen is in the evening when traffic volume is high.
At other times speeds tend to be v good.

I have an extra question. Does Live box good for P2P? It seems that the connection will be broken likely during P2P. Is there any body got the same situation?
