LLU fun?

[link to this post]

I've had Orange broadband a while now, it does everything I need it to do especially for the price.. atleast on IPstream, got moved, or I was meant to of been moved to LLU on the 7th. It seems as if the order is still pending and i'm stuck on a very unstable 2mb connection. According to Roger in technical help there was an issue with the migration and the commited date for the work to actually be carried out is today.. He also did sound like he knew what was on about when looking through the order (well atleast I hope so..).

The speed isn't a massive issue but the disconnections are especially for ranked online gaming on the ps3! Will be interesting to see what happens and I was wondering if anyone else had any LLU migration issues that atually got resolved?

Ben

No joy today.. Tried speaking to technical help and they said they would escalate it to the 'engineers' because of an 'error'. As far as I can see from how my router is synching is that I've just been put onto a fixed rate service - Since being LLU'd the router has never sync'd above 2MB.

The guy seemed lost when I tried explaining the situation to him.. Hopefully this isn't the start of a total nightmare..

Router resynched last night at about 7pm.. seems to be synching at ~8MB now.. Speed test this morning was around 4 so it is improving!

Think that for the 1st 2 weels they sample the speed u can run at, by starting at a lowish speed, say 2Meg, and gradually increasing it till they find where the reliability drops off. Or so they say. Your experience seems to bear this out.

Not quite sure what's happening but aslong as the connection stays stable I'll be happy. Nice to be able to download and play games without too much hassle.
