I'll update as I go no probs, any idea how often the sync gets updated? Is it a daily change?

I've had daily changes at about 6 PM for the 1st 3 days and since that none, for the last 3 days. I'm hoping for more as I don't think I've reached my optimum yet. I'm now at 15.5 Meg @ 10 dB NM, but I suspect Orange won't lower NM to 6, as most other ISPs do, unless I ask them.

Newest stats, download has dropped a bit, still much faster than the 9.5 i was originally quoted,

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 15704 kbps 1288 kbps
Line Attenuation 30.5 db 15.2 db
Noise Margin 8.5 db 6.7 db

Unfortunately it's slower than i had a few days ago which is a shame, any idea if it will sync upwards or will it sync down as it's more stable in their eye's at lower sync??

Thanks. I did think your previous figures were slightly too high, considering your attenuation is about 3 dB higher than mine, tho' we are measuring with different routers.

My current stats, after 11 days stabilisation, are:
Speed (DS/US): 15977 K/1185 K, Attn: 28 dB/13 dB, SNM: 9 dB/5 dB

They have been fairly consistent and reliable throughout. These are the best I've had so far, tho' today I asked Orange to reduce my DS NM to the usual 6 dB. The CS who took my call did not know much about NMs and such but put a ticket for the engineers to escalate it. He ended by thanking me for teaching him about BB smile

I did try the livebox one day but it synced lower than the netgear router i have so don't think i'll be using again, and wireless range didn't seem up too much either..

FYI: Mine's not the Livebox; it's the Siemens. Have found it fairly reliable in past.
