Orange Line Rental - WLR or MPF?

[link to this post]

Hey!

Just wondering; if you take out Orange Broadband and Line Rental on an exchange unbundled by them, are you placed on to a Wholesale Line Rental product or Metallic Path Facility A'la TalkTalk & Sky SVBN?

Mother wants to move her stuff to the cheapest package and she only uses the BB for email and light surfing, but has a lot of friends abroad so the Orange package with 2nd VOIP line seems great for her... And she's already on a long line so Orange congestion probably won't be noticeable beyond her 2.5Mbit sync rate tongue

It's WLR; BT still own the line.

The cheapest package, Home Starter, does not have the 2nd phone line; only the dearest one, Home Ultra, does.

There is no particular congestion on Orange LLU. Is she on an LLU'd exchange? Check here: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU BB => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU BB

Yeah, it's an LLU exchange. And we've opted for Home Ultra; that along side a Sim 10, and she's saving a good 10GBP a month over her existing Virgin mobile / BT Landline / O2 Broadband setup with more freebies to boot.

All good, except that the on line order didn't ask for a MAC...
