Are my stats correct?

I used to have a really long line and got around 8Mbit with talktalk - I've moved house and i'm now with Orange and was quoted 17Mbit - here's my stats:

The noise is quite high but it used to be in the 40s with 8Mbit so I was expecting a better speed.

Orange have told me it will get faster after my training period but the snr is already at 6db?

You should be getting 16-17 Meg @ 6 dB NM.

However Orange WBC could go down to 3 DB NM which is worth anther 1-1.5 Meg.

Hi, my landline is 715 metres (straight line distance) from the exchange and it does not perform well and I had similar stats with LLU. I see my stats are not much different from yours. You should find within the ten-day training period your upstream speed will increase to around 1100 Kbps.

I've actually been connected since the 3rd of this month - my activation date was the 6th so either way it has been 10 days but they are still fobbing me off

Happy days! Argued with them after them telling me my stats where normal, got them to do a line test and there was a fault.

BT Engineer has just been to the cabinet and said hes fixed it.

Wow! Orange just gets Better! Now I need to get that same engineer to look at my line.
