Moving home - SIM reference

Hi,

I'm moving home next month, so am arranging with the utility companies etc for the move.

My landline is with BT and my broadband with Orange.

I notified BT online last night and that was a very simple and quick process, they asked if I wanted a SIM reference to speed things up when moving broadband as well.

I called Orange this afternoon and told them that I was moving next month, they said it would take 7-10 days to make the move. I said that I had a SIM reference from BT, they told me that they don't work with BT's SIM reference.

Eventually I accepted that I may not have broadband when I move in, so asked them to process the move for next month. The next thing I'm told that the change will happen within 48 hours! So now trying to get them to reverse things so that I don't loose my broadband at my current address in 2 days time!

Poor showing by Orange.

Can you leave orange & just get BT broadband at the new house? Might be easier and you get simultaneous provision of services.

According to Orange, moving home with your broadband is easy with them.

his land line was not with orange only his broadband

Shouldn't matter!

Tho' since advent of EE funny loss of features has occurred for customers on non-Orange phone lines, but they have admitted that this was not intended.
