I would ask them to up your noise margins,
With an attenuation of 48dB you really don't want the SNR dropping to 1.3dB

As others have said try going in to the test socket and checking the line stats then.
Leave it in the test socket for 72 hours and monitor the noise margins.

I have got EE to check the line and they say its OK. I did the BT Quiet Line and it sounds OK. So when I get a chance I'll plug into the Main BT socket.

The problem I have with that is my PC is connected to the Brightbox via Ethernet (and I don't have a wireless card in it) but the Main BT socket is at the other side of the house.

I still wonder why the 2Wire copes fine with the line as it is and always re-connects itself but the Brightbox just gives up and doesn't seem to bother to re-connect.

Would always be best moving to the master socket.
Get your self a set up Power line adapter or a wireless card.

You don't want to run the adapter through any sort of surge protection to the Pass Through ones might be better.

I have AT&T digital and Dish, and BritBox constantly drops from our network as well. If it lasts 60 seconds, it�s a miracle. This is a recent development. For a long time, BB worked fine. Now it is useless. I�m going to have to drop the subscription. It doesn�t work.
