Slow streaming speed.

So I've already forum pm'd Gavin about this, and it's being looked at. I just want to know what you think the issue is.

At the same time p2p throttling comes into effect my streaming speed starts to slow down. I don't know if it's congestion or throttling. What do you think from the following information?

I did a TBB speed test, TBB Speed test

My speed is normal, this is a BBC speed test. BBC Speed test

Brightbox stats, it hasen't had a hard reboot in 2 weeks.

Stats are good! Looks like your streaming is being throttled. What time was the BBC Test done?

On my slightly slower 20 Meg line, just past midnight, BBC Test (uncopyable) gives: DL 17.2 Meg, SS1 10.4 Meg, SS2 17.0 Meg, SS3 17.4 Meg.

Have no trouble streaming in evening.

EE/Orange do throttle BitTorrent P2P file sharing at peak times.

EE Home broadband Fair use policy, do you think I could find it on their rubbish website.

I did the test at 10pm, It's seems to start off slow, then get worse and then ease off. I've spoken to EE numerous times. I got planned for a scheduled call back from the level 2 team, but I never got that call. When I called up asking about it, I got told it was in our contract.

I've gone through the contract and found nothing, then I persisted that EE don't have Streaming throttled in their traffic management guide. EE traffic management.

That's similar to mine at about same time.

Are you now saying that the BBC Test in your OP is incorrect or that at 10PM it is much worse than at 12:50AM?

But OP has issue with streaming, not P2P.

Yes, It progressively gets worse, then it gets better. Also, What I mean by putting the wrong one up is, I linked the test from 10pm in my last post. So I just edited and put a note next to it in case you saw it before I managed to change it.

OK, I'll try to do a BBC Test tonight @ 10PM for comparison.

At the mo' it gives: 16.2, 10.3, 16.5, 16.6 Megs, much the same as early this AM.

@ 10PM: DL 17.8, SS1 10.6, SS2 4.6, SS3 4.8 Megs (improving?)
@ 11PM: DL 17.2, SS1 10.6, SS2 17.2, SS3 17.4 Megs (recovered!)
@ 12AM: DL 17.4, SS1 10.5, SS2 17.2, SS3 17.1 Megs (back to normal!)
