EE is actually highly traffic managed on torrents, it's worse in non network areas. BT unlimited now does actually mean just that. If you signed upto BT in around the last 6 months there's no traffic management or slowdowns or usage limits. It might be worth getting BT to put you onto one of these packages which have no management in place.

Sky LLU is also actually totally unlimited too.

EE isn't bad overall if you don't wanna torrent all day.

Why should that matter? Who uses torrents all the time? If you're not doing naughty things, it can't affect you

One of the very reasons traffic shaping exists, it BECAUSE of non-stop torrent addicts - I don't care, I don't use torrents, and the only people who whine and whinge about it are those who have nothing better to do than to hoard copyrighted material they are not entitled to.

For the op I think it matters as they asked about traffic management, hence why I brought it up. For me I'm not really bothered as I don't torrent really nowadays so EE is just as good as any ISP although it's nice to have torrents going fast when you might choose to use them once in a while.

Yes, OP did, but never mentioned torrents. So we don't know whether it matters or not, and they've already been warned that EE throttles P2P. So the OP has enough info as to whether it is suitable.

Do you pay the BT line rental through Orange/EE or still direct to BT? I ask because I am currently on the deal from BT where I paid my line rental up front for a year (£5/month saving IIRC) and that runs until the end of the year.

I had my landline telephone with BT and paid for the line rental 12 months in advance on line rental saver, you will have to wait until the end of your contract then move, otherwise it will cost you. Unless you claim your contract buyout credit from EE after you join their broadband and telephone services.
