EE help please

hi there thanks for reading
for the past couple of days (after a year of brillant service) my internet has been dropping every 5 to 10 minutes, i decided to call ee customer service, no fault on the line apparently but he told me to plug the router into the test socket which i did ,now i do have a solid connection but the speed has dropped dramatically i was getting around 13 to 14 meg and now it goes from 1 to 6 meg ( never the same )

noise margin seem ok now i guess? but when it was cutting off noise margin downstream was -0.2 is this normal ?

when i go on speed test.com now , i get around 11 meg which is much better than earlier today

These NMs are far too high; usually 6/6 or 6/3. No evidence of errors pushing them up. Orange are holding them unnecessarily high and need to be told to reduce them. Line is capable of 20 Meg.

How do you explain the internet cutting off on regular socket and not on test socket ?

Ah, yes. Faulty internal wiring would explain why NMs have shot up.

Have you removed ring wire? Tried other filters? All phone extns filtered?

EDIT: Try Quiet Line Test (17070 Opt 2) from test socket, master socket & all extns, with & w/out router.

I haven't touch the ring wire , I have a spare brightbox shall I give it a try with a new filter ?
If the problem is internal wiring ? Will ee fix it ?

No! I've already given you my suggestions. Have you tried them?

I don't know how to remove the wire ,and I don't have a landline ,
I will try a spare filter but if the filter works on test socket why would the filter be faulty ?

Whenever my upstream was 440-443kbps it was a signal that EE were doing something to the line. You can try the 'technical support' and ask them to reset the line. It may be worth trying their support on twitter or facebook to see if you can get a call back from their UK call centre as they seem to know what they're doing.
