EE Combined VDSL modem/router

Came across one of these on the weekend, hadn't heard mention of one before.

It took an age to make the initial PPP session, anyone else got any experience of using one ?

Full Spec for EE BrightBox 2 Home Fibre Broadband ISP Router. The full spec seems gone from EE site.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC

not too good for me when its used on its own but when used in router only mode it works ok

by not too good i mean it syncs a few megs lower than the openreach eci modem i have
