Broadband Quality.

When in sunny Suffolk I have troublefree Freeola Enta. I now spend most time in my residence north of the border where I suffer EE/Orange.
The problem is, the service is near unusable most times. It seems to be delivering pulsed broadband, with Speedtest net producing a sawtooth wavefform of massive spikes.
My first thought was contention, but I don't think that is the case, as it's the same in the wee hours or early morning.
Upload, which is obtained by fast switching of full speed is OK, with download seemingly being delivered by pulsed ram-jet technology or something equally obscure.

When watching any download, it's pulsed. Lots of squirts of data and pauses. I will get no sense from the totally useless customer service and everything is running as well as it can here, but I wonder if anyone can point to the problem.

Bods at EE useless as usual. Will not recognise the above tests. Must do BT Wholesale speedtest. I suppose that is because they have accesss to that. Not that it will be much use. Went crazy when service too poor to stream the footy.

If not, then there's no accounting for it. All the other figures are indicative of an 8 Meg connection.

Very mediocre copper. 5.5 - 6 meg, which would not be too bad if it was a steady stream. Mile from 2+ exchange, but they refuse to drop noise margin as usual. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas, as EE are useless. Once again state they have NO technichal team. BT test usually shows more than what is possible. Not to worry, down to Suffolk next weekend for 8 weeks and back to Freeola.
