Can any one help...


Since having EE Broadband it seems impossible to set up a FTP etc.... is this the case I have a brightbox router for years on now on fibre.

I find this hard to understand as i have a western digital cloud nas drive and that can access outside the router. sorry for being so thick.

Are you trying to host a FTP server on a computer on the end of your broadband connection?

OR

Trying to connect to a remote FTP server somewhere on the Internet?

Which EE broadband hardware do you have?

The problem with FTP is that it opens port connections from both ends. Usually these problems are caused by firewall issues.

If you mean hosting your own FTP server, aren't you hindered by not having a static IP?

What does the ftptest say for your connection?
