EE 4G PAYG - Speed restriction

Hi guys, is there any way to get EE to remove the 4G data speed restriction on a PAYG SIM? I have a pay monthly contract and am in a double speed 4G area in which I get speeds of around 50Mbit.

On the PAYG SIM speeds seem throttled to death at 0.5Mbit,

All EE PAYG SIMs do run on normal speed 4G.

You haven't bought an Orange or T-Mobile SIM by mistake? These legacy SIMs /networks don't do 4G.

Agreed not seen any sign of throttling on the two 4G PAYG sims I've had

I'm currently using one of EE's Christmas Sim's... is this restricted to normal 4G or is it capable of using double speed like the EE Extra Pay Monthly tariff?

Believe it will go faster if in the fast areas - assuming your device supports the faster speeds too and not all 4G devices do

Well I'm actually in a 4G+ area and the device (a Huawei E8278 Wingle) is capable of 150Mb/s so Cat4 I believe...
