BCC is available in all mail clients, even in Orange Webmail.

If you don't see it in the headers of the email you're writing just click on To: or CC: & it allow you to put any contact into any type of recipient.

Just checked both EE Accounts today.

With both, you have to actually SIGN IN, before any warning of Imminent Closure appears.


Particularly ironic for the Freeserve Account, as it still invites one to Set Up a NEW ACCOUNT.

I have not tried following that through in detail; but it could be that it allows you to do so, then Sign In for first conventional use, only to be told that it is CLOSING!


I certainly think that the New Account Invitation should have disappeared very early on.

Last time I looked, within last month, you could still create a new free-to-anyone FSMail.net Webmail from outside the EE BB network, but not on that page & I now forget which.

Having just received a notification from a colleague who is going through the same exercise, I noted that he did not use the BCC Addressing facility; and also sent his Notification from his OLD EE Address, rather than his NEW ADDRESS, making it messier to add his New Address to my Contacts List.

How did you get your Orange Contacts into Gmail please? I've not been successful

You can get an EE account. I went to some price comparison sites and found offers for one. So, after much trouble (none of the EE Helplines was working) I got a loyalty rate EE mail account on exactly the same terms as my Orange one - well, better in fact if you make international calls . My only problem is that I can't find out about the new address: what format and how to inform them. Neither do I know how to let all my Contacts know when Orange withdraws. Nor what settings to use for my MS Office Outlook account!

I transferred my emails from the Gmail settings no problem, just won't accept the Contacts!

It's impossible to get an EE email account. EE retain all their email domains & won't be releasing them to anybody any time soon; That's why you can't find out about the new address format. Someone's lying to you?

What domain is your email addy on (the bit after your name)?

To be honest, I don't remember the details of the Contacts transfer - other than it was messy, compared with the e-mails.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge and experience of this area will help.

It will depend on the domain. Some domains don't even have an "Export Contacts".
