Just watched the new trailer for the Back To Karkand expansion pack that's coming this December. Wow.
It will feature updated versions of the classic maps Strike at Karkand, Sharqi Peninsula, Gulf of Oman, and Wake Island.

Some URL jiggery pokery can get you round the YouTube issue. Doesn't let you fullscreen though, so your first link is probably the best bet.
Blue's News really is an excellent site if you're into PC gaming.

That's a neat trick. Do you just put a 'v' in before your video reference?
Yeah, Blues News is good news aggregator site but a bit hard to view as there's just so much info. Chances are though, if it's in the news it'll on Blues. (Oh dear!)
What a video though, eh?!!

You don't pay much attention to things do ya, Swanny?
What did you think of the video then, eh? Pretty sweet or what? And T2D does not even know what he is missing... tut tut tut.

All the BF3 trailers have looked great. Frostbite 2 seems a really nice engine. I just hope they turn it to Mirror's Edge 2 next.

Looks amazing
Will be great to jump back into those old maps and have a look around to see the improvements.
Wonder if my sneaky hiding hole is still there ??
Can't imagine MW3 having anything as nice as that happening

The back to karkand trailer left me drooling. It is unfortunate that servers will be able to run either BF3 or karkand though as I had hoped you would be able to just have a bigger map rotation.
But yea, I am VERY much looking forwards to the re-imagined map. I am hoping they have made Wake Island a bit better as I Was never really a fan of that in 1942 or BF2...

You've got a sneaky hidey hole you never told me about on BF2??? Eh?? Argh!! And to think I never even knew it existed. Which map? I am wondering what I've been missing out on.
Yeah, I think it looks amazing too - really kind of gritty. I love the bit with the US buggies even though they themselves (from a cockpit view) didn't seem that great. Third person and they are wonderful to behold.
That old man, T2D, must be going senile. He buys all the rubbish you can think of that's released and deliberately steers clear of the best game bar-none that's ever been released that totally mops the floor with Wooden Morefare empty-your-wallets-out three!

Thanks for the feedback from my Number 1 fan Spook
Spook i can smell a rat from a mile away and Butterfield 3 is a Dirty Rat
Besides i only play realistic shooters like COD games ..............Ho ! Ho ! Ho
Its funny really all the throw away comments aimed at MW3 yet i don't recall any shop feeling the need to open for a Midnight Release of Battlefield 3 or any previous Battlefield games for that matter.
Face the Facts Spook and climb out of that Cave and admit MW3 is where its at and 30 million people can not all be wrong.
Only class games get the Midnight treatment and Battlefield don't take that honour [no offence to people that are enjoying Battlefield 3] Just Spook

It's all right, I can tell you ain't serious so no one's gonna get offended. Not even me!
Butterfield 3 eh? Hmm. Not as good as Wooden Morefare I think. It has a good ring to it though, which I really like and as a low fat tastes like butter margarine spread, I think the name could do very well actually! Quick mate - trademark it!!!
Midnight events are for Apple products and other obsessives who are psychologically locked into brands to the extent they lose all reason and do things like, go to stores to wait in line at midnight etc. Seriously though, I have no objection - if you're that keen on something then fair play to ya. Actually, I did read a comment on here that mentioned not going to their local Game midnight opening for BF3 so maybe some places did open up late? Even if it was just the village of Tweedle Dee...?
Huh? Battlefield 3 had midnight release all over the country lol, both my local Game stores were open at midnight and they opened at 7am (usually 9am) on the Friday if you couldn't make it at midnight but still wanted it early. Also I presume you are joking when you say COD is more realistic than BF, have you seen the knives in COD?! Knifing in BF is awesome, still can't get used to my character looking up and thinking huh what's going on ahhhh there is the knife lol

Ya know, 4 years ago this 'add on' would have been in the original release.
Greedy bean counters

I know what you mean but it was at least free to pre-order customers even if it comes 2 months later. I think it has been cleverly managed (from their point of view you understand) so that having lost some players to CoD it will pull some back to BF3 for the map pack.
Yes and no. The content wasn't ready and it makes sense to release it later but it should be free for those who've ordered the standard as well as the Ltd Edition in my mind, just to justify the full cost of the game.
It is nice to have this content to look forward to though but depending on how much EA want for it, it'll likely just be greedy of them. I guess I'm thinking they'll ask £15.00 for it or something ridiculous. Latecomers will pay that as what choice do they have other than to leave it alone? It's a must have for any fans of the series.
I don't know why I think it will be £9-10 but I think it will be around there... for some reason
Yeah, I'm sure you're right. I think I have $15.00 amount stuck in my head and we all know how companies like to convert the pound to the dollar when a product hits these shores.
There will inevitably be expansion packs and probably more than one. There were two for BF1942. Hmm. It changed quite a bit after that though. Were there any for BF2? No? I don't think so. Strange...

On one of the ramps at the bottom of the Karkand map there were flower beds that you could hide in when they came down to capture the flag. I think everyone knew it was there but still used to catch loads of people while hiding in it
One little moan I have about BF3 is that you cant cook nades :/

Knifing in BF is awesome, still can't get used to my character looking up and thinking huh what's going on ahhhh there is the knife lol
I found a bloke led on the floor outside on the tunnels map last night, picked him up, turned him over and got my blade wet
hehe
Yea there was Special Forces for BF2. It was worth getting just so you had extra guns in main BF2!

Oh, I really laughed at that. That can so be read the wrong way if you're into your double entendres.
I got my 'blade' wet last night playing the game too. Oh man, I can't even go there now. This sniper was camped on a rock and I stood by him for a while just wondering how he could be so oblivious to his impending fate. As he was prone I hadn't seen the knifing animation for that mode and it was pretty gruesome.
Yeah, I remember now. But it's a shame you couldn't use the zip line or grapple hooks! That would have been great!
Ah right, I will now go looking for it I reckon as I can't quite picture exactly where this flower bed is.
There's so much more shrubbery to frolic in in BF3 you really have to check out the bushes first when you're uncapping a flag - I'm thinking mostly of the River Seine map. You have quite a few guys waiting to cap you instead.
