Yea there was Special Forces for BF2. It was worth getting just so you had extra guns in main BF2!

I got my 'blade' wet last night playing the game too. Oh man, I can't even go there now. This sniper was camped on a rock and I stood by him for a while just wondering how he could be so oblivious to his impending fate. As he was prone I hadn't seen the knifing animation for that mode and it was pretty gruesome.

Yeah, I remember now. But it's a shame you couldn't use the zip line or grapple hooks! That would have been great!

Ah right, I will now go looking for it I reckon as I can't quite picture exactly where this flower bed is.

There's so much more shrubbery to frolic in in BF3 you really have to check out the bushes first when you're uncapping a flag - I'm thinking mostly of the River Seine map. You have quite a few guys waiting to cap you instead.
