Pre-ordered mine in March. Who in their right mind (that rules Toady out) wouldn't want to get their hands on this baby as soon as possible?

Problem with this game mate its not going to make this year and is down for a March 2014 release date so Killzone and Watchdogs will have to get us by for now.

Must be mating season as Toady has not been around on the forums just lately, mind you saying that there is not much in the way of games on a PC to talk about is there.........Shrieks like Mutely........Stop the pigeon .tongue

I bet they are going to say there are "shortages" because they didn't anticipate the level of interest...

They always suggest shortages as it increases Pre/orders,as for not anticipating the level of interest then i think after Microsofts shamble of a reveal originally Sony were rubbing there hands together and having all night parties.

I really wanted them both to compete with each other so i went out and bought both consoles at launch been an avid Xbox 360 supporter and preferred it to my Playstation 3........

I felt well and truly burned by Microsoft after watching there conference and i could not get up Blockbusters the following day quick enough to trade in the 360 as i wanted nothing to do with that Company.

I don't know how they will win me back and many other thousands of people that were 360 supporters that have now jumped ship and gone over to Sony.

Normally i own all the consoles but sadly not after this, with the Nintendo Wii U dying a death and hardly a 3rd party supporter on board and extremely under powered and then Microsoft disastrous reveal there is only a need for one console and the choice was made very easy.

I really dont understand people buying expensive new launch consoles, they most likely to have bugs and lack a games library.

Whats ironic is these selling out when people claim to be poor.

The PS4 is £349 which is not expensive for a console on release day. I have not pre ordered and not sure yet if I will get it at release but I think BF4 and a few other games would be plenty if I did.

Yeah £349 thats about the price of a half decent PC graphics card that will be out of date 6 months later,i think some of the recent top of the range Nvidea Cards are around £500.

It happens in all technology really, look at people who queue for a new iPhone and pay £200 and £40 per month for it then in 6 months time when a new model comes out it is being given away for free and a £25 a month contract.

There is a buzz for me with getting something on release day, be it a console or game. I think now gaming is much more popular, particular console gaming, that there will be a better library than usual on release day. If you think 7 / 8 years ago when we had the Xbox we had Perfect Dark Zero, King Kong, Condemned and a couple of other [censored] games. Now we will have much better as people expect much more from it.

Inevitably though the better games will come out in the next year or two, but still I think we will have some good day one releases!

Yeah all we need now is a confirmed release date instead of the November expected time frame,i think at the PAX expo the dates will be confirmed.

There was a news feed on a site the other day that Toys R Us said the playstation 4 will ship November 13th,this was later retracted as they said it was just a number and date for there stock reference or something.

Personally i think the Playstation 4 will ship around the end of October as there are many games out within that 2 week period like Battlefield 4 and the new Cod Ghosts [not interested] also Watchdogs is due way before November 13th and these games are a must on next generation consoles.

there is little point buying Battlefield 4 on a 360 or Playstation 3 come October if you plan on upgrading and the consoles are yet to ship.

Makes no sense releasing the new games then having to wait weeks for the new consoles.

I do hope the new Smurfs Game gets ported over to the Playstation 4 so it will keep Jaxx happy wink

Yea I will definitely wait to get BF4 on the next console as will most my friends. Looking forward to release when everyone gets them and we can all hop online together, everyones interest in their existing consoles has fizzled out now. We all play different games and have played BF3 to death so a new challenge will be good smile

Game drought as always Summer time which is to be expected, not much out until next generation if I'm honest, might get Saints row 4 end of the month but not sure.

biggest mistake is GTA5 is not on the next generation consoles but on the 360 and playstation 3,and by the time this ships the next generation will be upon us and i will not be wanting to keep an older console ones i get my claws on a Playstation 4 with Watchdogs and Killzone and a lot of other titles shortly after .

got mine in at shopto.net, and keeping fingers crossed about availability (hopefully, I'll be OK, as my order is dated July 2nd, well before 6th August cut-off point).

Now the time to start filling up the friends list, so anyone want to add me, feel free

I don't have PS3 anymore (sold it ready for PS4), so won't be able to reply until I get new console, but I look forward to adding new mates.

OH yes, cancelled order4 for Xbox one, sticking only with PS4 now.

Should last a while year, it was to replace my GTX 580 which is 2-3 years old. Most of my gaming will be done on PC like Watch_Dogs and BF4 but I'll be getting a PS4 for some of the exclusive/console only titles... Tom Clancy's The Division comes to mind but I'm sure there are a few others I just can't think of atm xD

console gamers always say this about gfx cards.

my gfx card cost £120 a year ago (might be 2 years ago cant remember) and isnt out of date now, its not the latest but will play any new game fine.

however on the other hand £350 for a console is expensive. If you think it isnt wait 2 years and then see if a ps4 costs £350 then.

in 2 years the ps4 will have a bigger hdd, probably be smaller and will cost less. But the big thing is by then there will be many games for it to choose from and play.

I have over 50 games between my 360 and ps3. 15 of those games I regurly replay. In fact I replay games so often about half my game collection is still shrinkwrapped, I have too many games waiting to be played. I have had skyrim since launch still shrinkwrapped eg. and have yet to even complete oblivion as the game is so big.

It seems some people are willing to ditch a consol (and all its games) on a whim, thats something I cant understand, as its the games that are the value not the console. There is no way I am putting these games aside which means I keep the consoles as well to play the games.

With the lack of backwards compatability on the new consoles this basically means I dont buy them until there is enough games on them I want to play, all of the launch titles look like rubbish to me, (not into sports and first person games) so for me I keep the existing consoles and games. In fact my type of game I like I think may not even happen on the new consoles as I am into japenese rpg's which are moving to handhelds. Some western rpg's I like but isnt any announced yet for next gen.

There are more game releases on the new consoles than ever before, and I would rarther play watchdogs and the new Killzone on a Playstation 4 than a ageing Playstation 3 provided there is a graphical difference which we are promised.

You might not have finished the games you bought but I have and so have the majority of people,to think like you said you have half your games still shrink wrapped is utter ridiculous to say the least,if you have not got time or to many games why buy them in the first place, may be it would have been better for you to wait a few months when the games you have still wrapped will be half the price.

As soon as something like a more powerful console comes along with faster ram, greater graphical capabilities and a new dashboard with some interesting features I leap at the chance.

After all us console gamers can not just upgrade every few months like PC gamers and we are stuck with what we have for years.

Besides this is the longest next generation wait and November cannot come quick enough,my only regret when I ditch the p3 will be I won't be able to replay The Last Of Us,but hopefully it will get ported at some stage and I can play it again and again.

I got no issue with the people preordering this stuff smile

Just surprised at the sellout with the preorders.

To me it doesnt make a lot of sense to buy yet, but obviously people are excited about the new consoles.

Also I think the PS4 looks hands down better than the xbox one for the next generation, microsoft are also showing a lot of indecision, u-turns here there and everywhere.

Sack Oblivion off and crack on with Skyrim, it's loads better! I gave up on Oblivion, it wasn't for me. But Skyrim I really like, I have only recently got it myself, I am about 12 hours in and having a really good time on it smile

I hear you on the Japanese RPG's too, I don't play so many anymore but I used to absolutely love the Breath of Fire series as well as things like Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9. I have got a couple on the 360 but never really got into them, Enchanted Arms wasn't bad but I didn't complete it. I have heard Tales of Vesperia is good but probably too late to get started on that.

I have been a avid 360 supporter on these boards for the last 3 years and have preferred to get the majority of my games on the 360 even though I have always had all the consoles.

You are right in thinking that the Playstation looks the better product and normally without hesitation I would have bought both but for the horrible original conference Microsoft put together they alienated a lot of there supporters and have done untold damage, even the 180 uturn has done little to instill confedence in there product and they can not be trusted in what the implement in the future.

This will be the first Next Generation swap over that I will only pick 1 console and I made my choice after the Sony conference in Feb and my order was placed then.

I was desperate for Microsoft to really come back at Sony and convince me that I will need both consoles, but after there dam dreadful awful reveal all they done was give Sony some extra customers because there presentation was everything a Gamer dreaded and the person/ persons responsible for the diabolical decisions know absolutely nothing about gaming.

And the mouthpiece at the time Don Matrich has now left the company.....What a surprise.

The Xbox one does not interest me in the slightest and the only reason I would by one at this moment in time is if Sony went bankrupted and came out of gaming and never got to release the Playstation 4 and that ain't happening.

Microsoft would have to literally blow me away with mind blowing exclusives for me to be slightly interested, they say never say never but from what I see I only need a Playstation 4 .

Not even the new Respawn cod clone interests me and even that has slipped into 2014,only Remedys new exclusive looks half decent and everything else is on a playstation 4 with plenty of exclusives of there own like the new Killzone and the drop dead gorgeous looking Infamous second son which sadly has also slipped to march 2014

But there are plenty of games to keep me well and truly ocupied through the winter like Killzone,Watchdogs,Battlefield 4 to name just a few.

Will buy the new Splinter cell Blacklist game next week and possibly GTA5 and that's my lot on last generation, don't know who had the bright idea of not bringing GTA5 to the next gen as its only on the 360 and playstation 3.

All that does is make it easier not to rush to upgrade as this along with most of the next gen games will be on the ageing hardware we are still using 7 years later.

But I'm into gadgets, and nothing excites me more than a next generation console ,and I'm not talking about the Nintendo Wii U the once proud brilliant company that have 3rd party developers eloping in there droves and a system that is so underpowered and underwhelming it hurts.

Nintendo had there day with the Nintendo Wii and it thought it would stay on those safe grounds but for hardcore gamers its just a cheap motion controlled gimmick that does not appeal to me,just like the Kinnect and the Sony Playstation move.

Fun for 30 minutes never to see the light of day again, and another reason why Xbox One does not interest me.

vesperia isnt just good its brilliant, its a candidate for best rpg of the current gen. its main rival in my view probably lost oddysey.

vesperia is so good I started learning japanese so I can play the ps3 version properly (japanese only), I already played the 360 version several times.

more jrpgs still to come on the current gen.

my xillia arrived last week, xillia2 to come, another tales game after that.
ff13-3.
ff10 hd
ff10-2 hd
kingdom hearts 1.5 remix

for next gen doesnt look so good.

the thing that most excites me about the ps4 is not the new games, I am not a graphics [censored], but more the proposed cloud gaming of old games, as they said they will have the entire ps1,2,3 catalogue on the cloud system.

And for another U-turn MS has now cut down the launch countries to just 13.

8 countries including Russia, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries will have to wait until 2014.

They really don't know what they are up to, it is almost as they want to give Sony this whole generation.

So for anybody getting a Xbone this year, stick it on Ebay with international shipping and you could be laughing.

So glad i got my PS4 order in just after E3.

Can you believe there stupidity at handing another Win to Sony following this statement.

The console now won't launch until the new year in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.

How many of the above gamers who support the Xbox franchise will now go plumb for a Playstation 4,this has to be one of the most stupid decisions in Gaming history given what the original backlash was concerning Microsoft and there restrictions.

What are Microsoft thinking and who the hell are the incompetent fools running this division,on a personal level i don't care but imagine been just across the seas in Holland and been shafted by Microsoft.

You would think if anything that they would release before Sony and make sure Worldwide means Exactly that.

May be they got over heating issues tongue AGAIN....

Another PR Disaster

My Thoughts Exactly

Not exactly rocket science now is it,if gamers can see what this will do then why the hell can the people running the Microsoft Console division see the damage.

In Japan Sony must be getting sick to death of having all night parties.wink
