you realise shadow or mordor is cheaper then that brand new buying used seems a mugs game unless there is no stock of new.
Looking at amazon prices makes you wonder how much cut the console manufacturers are taking.
£21 new for pc
£32 new for ps4
£38 new xbox1, greedy microsoft.

Just goes to show it's crazy buying games when they first come out
I dunno mate. Buy it for £40, play it for 10-15 hours, then sell it for £20?
Not a bad return.
Or wait a couple of weeks buy it and not worry about trading it, just give it to a friend
If you give me £5 and pay the postage and package i will take Drive Club of your hands
As if you would know

Thats Adam then of Adams Farm and Countryfile ,hasn't he got enough already

I would be pretty annoyed if a £40 game only gave me 15 hours of gaming time.
What you just typed seems a raw deal.

I disagree, if I got 15 hours of great entertainment out of £20 then I would be happy with that. I pay £20 for me and my girlfriend to go and watch a 2 hour movie at the cinema. Now that's a raw deal!
Not every game has to give you 40+ hours of gameplay, I like to have a variety of games. I will play a sandbox game that will give me 40 hours of enjoyment for £40 then I will play something like The Evil Within which is about 15 hours gameplay. I still enjoy both the games just as much.
And how long will £40 last in a pub when you buy a few rounds,or 1 night out at the pictures with your Wife or girlfriend.

Then you need a reality check. Too many gamers (PC particularly) seem to believe that they're always owed more.
It costs more than £1.33 an hour to watch paint dry.

Indeed, but don't get me started on the price of popcorn.
Dragon Age Inquisition looks massive and we already know how much time can be whiled away on GTAV and thats great. But some games would get boring if any longer than 10-12 hours. Horror games as your example, lose their suspense if dragged out too long, and puzzles in games such as Uncharted or Tonmb Raider can become repetitive. Horses for courses an' all that.

You been spying on me Again

Yeah some people want to buy One game which lasts them all year.......Mentioning no names...
Ones White, can be a tad aggressive especially with young, likes water and has a orange bill, the other is what butterflies emerge from......Have I give the game away

You're really talking nonsense now, no one takes their wife to the pictures

Yeah you got a point there..... I don't have one

First, most games I play have a lot more than 15 hours. That may be due to my genre been RPG, but thats how it is for me.
Second I dont often buy games at £40, I will only buy at that price if I am really confident its going to be very very good and the preorder bonuses I consider significant.
Third if I sold a game on say day 2 or 3 after release, I would expect more than 50% of the value back. Looking on ebay most people selling used games for about 80% of RRP.
Of course on the other hand I wouldnt buy a used game for 80% of RRP unless there was no stock of new games.
I respect everyone has different standards tho, I was just posting mine
Food for thought?
Think of all the negative feedback sony got for their PSN game rental service a few months back, those prices for rental are actually superior to buying a game for £40, playing it for a couple of days and then getting rid for £20, you are effectively then renting the game for £20.
