I've never bothered with that, you can pick up most new games for about £40 if you shop around and then you can usually trade them back for about £15 to £20. I was tempted to try it when Jorkilla mentioned it last month, but I thought it would get stopped eventually or something bad may happen to the games I had bought!

game trading is rubbish with the shop getting to ride you twice and i do enjoy revisiting old games and old gaming systems .
Not totally sure how this will work with digital downloads but in for a penny in for a pound . as i embrace the future , not the past .

Game trading is not rubbish mate it lessons the burden of having to pay full price for a new game.

Once you have truly finished with a game you get some credit against a new one,i agree that the price that the major high street chain Game pay is completely unjustified and a lot lower than a few years back especially when you think the average cost of a new game on the latest generation is around £10 dearer than old generation then yes it's a complete rip of.

But this has come about by Game completely destroying other smaller independent game retailers and having now the total monopoly of the High Street and the Gaming scene in general, they got way to big and cockey, bought out a competitor in Gamestation, completely ruined that store and they went bust,Other smaller independent stores at the time could not compete with Game and started closing down,Game themselves went into administration at one point and just like the Supermarkets they now dominate the high streets with the demise of places like Gamestation and Blockbusters and smaller game outlets when at the time they had a little bit of competition.

Digital games from either the Sony network or Xbox generally cost up to £10 to £15 more, why i will never now,and then once purchased you are stuck with it forever and there is no refunds or trade in available.

Now what they should do is let you trade a digitally downloaded game against another digital purchase so it would lesson the cost of that game, then they could let you purchase the new game and delete the other of your hard drive, not only would this benefit the buyer in lessoning the price it would also free up limited space on what is in general a restricted hard drive in the first place that fills up really quick.

Im not arguing about the prices you get for a game that may not be even 2 weeks old when you take it to Game, they may offer you just £15 to £20 for a game you paid £45 for 2 weeks earlier ,and when you look on the shelf they are selling that same second hand game for £40 if not more.

I hate game with a passion and i hate there rip of trade in prices, but with me they are the only solution to a never ending supply of games i own and i do not want or wish to play anymore.

Yes i can use Ebay and other online auction sites, but i can not be bothered with the competition on there, the fact i have to go through 10 minutes of listing the item, waiting 3,4,7 days for the sale to finish, and then having to go to the post office to sort that out.
Then after all that you get the idiot that buys it who says the item is not as it was advertised and he wants his money back and trys to pull a fast one and paypal refunds him.

Buyers have all the odds stacked in there favour and on countless occasions i have been well and truly ripped of with eBay polices and procedures.

the whole industry will benefit with game going away.

game seem the uk equivalent of america's gamestop or whatever it called.

I think game is responsible for things like retailer exclusivity deal's, enforcing high digital prices so game isnt undercut, and low supplies of new games as they make their profit on used games. They are also responsible for ubisoft taking their games off steam.

I agree with woweebert using game for trade in's is a mugs game.

I dont trade in games but if I wanted to sell I would use ebay near christmas.

The couple games I have for my PS4 don't seem to have installed as they would on my Xbox One.
Perhaps I blinked and missed it, the load times so far have seemed fine to me!

.

Thats Easy .Tell me where is the Competition on the high street, not talking your local Supermarket but there are very limited retail game shops on the high street anymore.

Another reason why i buy from Shopto.

Also Swanny thats where you trade your games isn't it,supermarkets to my knowledge don't take trade ins.

ASDA and Tesco used to do trade ins but I think they have both stopped doing so.
Personally if I trade in it tends to be at Amazon or Shopto as that's where I tend to get a lot of my stuff.

To get 15 to 20 mins install times on the xbox one you have to take the Ethernet cable out or disconnect wifi or it will download some of the title.

I learned this day one when ghosts took and age and my friends on faster inet had got it installed and were playing.

I took the ethernet out and it stalled.

Rebooted without and it took 15 mins.
