The beta starts tomorrow for everyone on PC,Xbox One and PS4
Not a game that has me even slightly interested at present if I'm honest .
Will download the beta tomorrow
Still not convinced though even though it does look nice and decent.
Now I'm slightly interested and this does look good

To much out mate,I've been playing MGS 5 for 4 straight weeks and still only on 25%,i still have Until Dawn to play and Mad Max,I have the uncharted Redux tomorrow,Rainbow six Siege is just around the corner along with the new Assassins Creed and Just Cause 3 Not forgetting Fallout 4.
Its the same year in and year out, nothing for months then a Avalanche of games,i will have bought about 10 games in 3 months come start of December.
Im not a Star Wars fan one tiny iota but the more i watch the more the game looks pretty nice especially in the graphics department and i like nice looking games, not sure about the gameplay, will find out tomorrow if this is to be added to my ever growing pre/order collection

You don't have to buy a game the day it comes out
I do as I'm not interested 6 months later or once they reduce in PRICE .
Match making only no dedicated servers or server browser- this game will die fast.
And then you moan that there are no games to play

So the Beta for this is out today but it still not on the uk store,so i done the normal Google search function to find out that this hits the Uk store at 3pm today, and various times around the world depending on where you live.
Now as of 10 minutes ago its nowhere to be seen on the uk store and when i search i get the over inflated different versions of the game at ludicrous prices for digital content.
I just don't get these store updates and time scales for games,if you have a Beta ready just put it up on the store, whether it be 5am in the morning or 5pm in the evening just put it on the dam store.
Another reason why, if its ready it should just turn up because now we have the massive amount of people that like me will more than likely have to spend hours and hours downloading a file which normally takes 15/20 minutes because of the high demand and stupid rules and regulations regarding times and content.

Star Wars Battlefront Beta will be available for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and on PC via Origin players between October 8 and October 12.
The beta officially begins at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT,
No idea what that is in English

Well it turned up at around 3.45pm and to be fair it only took about 40 minutes to download and that was a 8gig file, not tested it yet as i was downloading the Uncharted collection update and still heavy into MGS5 .

I was playing it @1440 today , what a blast and you and Nelly will be pleased to know it has a co-op survival mode albeit only short for the beta!!
Any lag ? Good collision detection ?
Seems to run well, certainly no noticeable lag!!
Plays fine on the ps4
The big map isn't easy and the rebels are hard to spot in the small map
I played it for 10 minutes and promptly deleted it and it doesn't appeal to me one little bit.
I read a preview of the game and the guys said it looked really nice but felt like you was playing a Playstation 2 game..My thoughts exactly.
Its basically Halo with Star war type phasers and if your over 18 not that exciting.
There is way to much out in the next 4 weeks and even if there wasn't i don't have a good feeling or reason to buy this.
And its right up your street as its Free and i very much doubt you buy the retail product on release.
Games not exciting thats my opinion, just running around shooting like Halo and Cod.
Played a couple rounds earlier and had quite a lot of lag, unfortunately there are no dedicated servers or option to see what the ping is
Did still manage reasonable rounds along with a positive k/d
So far I will be buying this!
I probably will be buying it when it comes out

Match making only no dedicated servers or server browser- this game will die fast. The lag is awful, with one positive game out of 20. Running 5 feet behind a guy and shooting the [censored] out of him, only for him to turn around and one shot you. And that was probably 15 games out of 20!
I'm playing with a controller and can feel the kills where you know you stood no mechanical chance of winning. But (as I always tell the missus), behind is behind and side on is side on. That should never even be up for debate.
As for the graphics, I think they're awesome. The rag doll effects are really good too. The survival mode was a lot of fun, I'll probably pick it up just for that and the missions.
Any lag ? Good collision detection ? If you had the problem with battlefield, I suspect you'll have it with Battlefront too. It looks superb to me visually though and runs really really well.
Can't get a frame rate up as it doesn't seem to support Raptr (as its a beta I guess), but it feels smooth. On Auto it picked "High" settings with everything turned on and FQAA (there is no Very high) and I was experiencing a little screen tear on distant textures. It was only noticeable if you looked for it, which I was because I couldn't believe how nice it looked!
So as I play on a TV I turned on V sync and set the refresh rate to 50 (or 55, I forget for now) and switched up to the Ultra preset. I have no idea what the frame rate is but it certainly hardly ever feels like it stutters in MP and it looks really really nice. I'm guessing it's averaging mid 40's but I'd be shocked if it shows to be dropping below 30. It really does seem to run smoothly.

lucky timing then, I noticed it was on psn store free so grabbed it yesterday to give it a blast, but been too busy to play it yet. Maybe during weekend.
Have given it a bit of a play last night and on xbox one it played smoothly and nicely enough, some text a wee bit small for playing across the other side of the room but good game.
Different enough to warrant the current £64 price tag - not in my opinion.

I certainly wouldn't pay that for this or any other game. Robbing gits!!
Shopto are doing it for £49.85

I'll see what the supermarkets are selling it for first before ordering
I refuse to buy games at such high prices.

I notice that with a lot of console games sadly, the text is only suited if you have the screen close e.g. a pc monitor setup rather than a lounge tv setup.
to be fair £64 for a multiplayer only game is ridiculous.
then on top of that if you playing on console you have monthly fees.
I haven't seen this game for £64 anywhere apart from the rip of stores from both Sony and Microsoft for the digital versions, every site i visit its in the 40s like most games of today.

so you agree 64 is a ripoff
I see its 40-44 on amazon depending on platform, but for a game that has no single player I still see that as too high for my liking, even if I was into multiplayer gamng. I would probably pay 20 for it on pc, or a fiver on console (because consoles have fee for multiplayer).
The only problems I had were caused by DICE
Will be interesting to see if Battlefront is an improvement over BF4

£29.90 om pc

Yes £64 is a complete rip of but like i said every site i visit which is normally shopto for my games its the normal retail price for a game on the current systems.
Why would you possibly use a site that charged £64 is unbelievable ?
Finally tried the beta, and its very "meh"
The single player mode is fun, but its very hard to find the enemies, especially the last one - takes a while of scouring the area to find the chappie.
As for multi-player, I kept getting killed from a couple of shots from a long distance away - again, its very hard to see anyone (pretty much suffers the same problem as BF4). Some of the kills were rather dodgy,.. It looks as though there are hacks out for it already.
I certainly wont get it straught away (if at all), as its far too expensive.

Just goes to show they are ripping off people that own consoles

Steam are pricey on some of the AAA's too.
It's a dedicated platform problem I guess.

Sent you a friend request mate.
Its an Origin download only - therefore they sell you a product key, and thus they have to obtain it from EA somehow. Perhaps they pay the full £50 and then sell it to you for £29.90. Very nice of them to take a loss
The problem is how the keys are obtained - if its directly from EA (with their blessing), then perhaps the gaming giant isn't as evil as everyone makes out. If however, its a random generator then there could be problems (although they suggest its not how they supply the code).
There was a case with The Simpsons Tapped Out, where a "company" (GameZino) was selling ingame currency (donuts) at reduced prices (they were buying discounted iTunes cards somehow). It didn't go well for GameZino, and not particularly well for quite a few customers...

yeah.
Basically games that only release on digital steam are usually cheap, or they get cheap within a year.
The issue is when games are released for consoles, and PC and in particularly they sell physical copies, there is a deal between the big publishers and retailers that digital will cost more to not hurt their sales. This is noticeable on big AAA titles, like GTA5. This isnt a hard fast rule, but is common for big budget games.
An example of it not occurring is final fantasy 13. But on the PC that was a digital only game. The console versions were AAA priced and also DLC cost extra, the PC version of all 3 games is sub £12 and all DLC included. But is digital only and released years after the console.
However namco treat the PC market differently, tales of zestria is a £40 game, same price as the ps4 physical copy.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bandai-Namco-Entertainment-P...
Incidently the ps4 market is improving, namco finally releasing games for it plus we have, kingdom hearts and these games all 3 not on PC. Seems it is just having a slow start like the ps3 had a slow start,

It's meant to have a 1 ms response time, but you can use it wired aswell so shouldn't be an issue hopefully!
I want it for work purposes too, so either way the wireless will be a reallly cool feature.
