I've been a slave to Black Ops 2 on PS3 for gawd knows how long (long enough to become Prestige Master and I'm rubbish!) but a friend is travelling and looking to sell his XB1.
Depending how much he wants I might be up for it, the new Gears of War and Mass Effect games coming to the platform later this year are tempting me back (loved those on 360, especially Gears Horde Mode).
So my question is, are there any peeps on Xb1s here and what's decent on multiplayer?
Trouble is I'm an old git and can't keep up with the young folk with their twitch reactions, so probably a bit of a liability!

I honestly don't know anyone of my real life friends or friends from varies websites that have an xbone
all either have ps4 or just pc game.

Yeah this is my thinking so considering my options.
I do have a modest PC but playing FPS on that medium is pretty depressing, I can't compete with the skilled mousers and get burned, at least I do on blops3.

Lots of us are of the older generation ,Swanny just started collecting his pension and I'm no spring chicken,I'm getting Gears 4 mate and like you i adore the Horde mode and it looks really cool in the new game,i have both consoles but tend to buy most for the playstation 4 but obviously Gears is a windows Xbox One game so I'm up for that and i dare say Jorkila will join us,so if you want a chat and some online buddies feel free to add me trancematic to your friends list on both the xbox if you get it and the playstation network,and I'm sure Jorkila won't mind you adding him,he's a little long in the tooth and when he takes his medication and stays awake past 9pm can be pretty handy when it comes to horde mode in gears and fps games in general.

Like i said i have a Xbox One and a playstation 4 ,so depending on your choice of games and what you like and how often you play will have a bearing on what platform i buy the game on........Thats if i like you of course .
Mainly i love FPS and i shall be buying the more expensive version of Infinite warfare for the MW remaster on Playstation 4.
I am also getting a fair few others like Watchdogs 2 and Battlefield 1 which i just may buy on Xbox One to team up with Jorkila if there are not many others on here playing it on playstation 4.

Playstation 3........Are you for real haven't you taken the plunge in the last few years and bought the later generation of consoles,a few of us on here will be hopefully upgrading to the Playstation Neo tomorrow if they actually announce it finally and it ships this year.

Yeah I game on both consoles along with PC too, so feel free to add me (Jorkilabra) on Xbox!
I'm actually playing Xbox more than anything at the minute, couple of reasons really, one being the network is far superior to PSN the other being I have real life friends along with my son on Xbox!
Oh yeah and did I mention that I now have the elite controller???

Don't hesitate ,Buy the Xbox One for Gears 4 at least,you certainly have me to play this with.and personally i would get a Playstation 4 as most on here own that console opposed to the Xbox One,only regular posters like myself and Jorkila have Xbox Ones on here,there are a few others but they don't post much and visit only briefly throughout the year......
But regards the Playstation 4 if your slightly interested,i would wait for the Sony Press conference on Wednesday to see if they announce either the Slim which most of us have already seen,or even better then Neo a updated version of the Playstation 4 ,if they do announce a Neo and a release this year and you really fancy a Playstation 4 but not at the estimated £400 cost then i will have my original playstation 4 which i will sell for virtually peanuts in comparison,and i updated the hard drive from the originally 500 gig to 1 terabyte.
Thats just a few options for you to consider,i don't need the money and I'm not bothered if you may or may not won't the playstation 4,can always put it in the girlfriends bedroom for her to play her VR with

It does seem PS4 has the biggest penetration (can I get away with that?!) but out of my reach financially, blooming kids guinea pig cost me nearly £200 from rip off vet merchant (it died 3 days later).
Then of course there was the busted water cylinder the week before, taking out the carpet and ceiling on the floor below.
As for my PS3, it's an original Fat that was donated to me I've nursed back to health by redoing the thermal compound on the processor, quite a museum piece!
Do let me know If you feel like moving on your PS4, would be nice to give it a good home.
If nothing else all this has given me an urge to carry out wanton distruction which if I manage to focus, could make me pretty tasty on the virtual battlefield, that's if the Sanatogen kicks in.
If I manage to get something together I'll tap you fellows up.

You took a guinea pig to the vet??? I'd have stopped on the way to the vet given it a rabbit chop then broke the bad news that although the vet tried it didn't make it

Tell me about it, I took it the vet to have it put down, though was conned into allowing them to perform a procedure which I was told would cure it and was pretty much the same cost of putting it to sleep.
Went to pick it up and was presented with crazy inflated bill including £100 for the ultrasound!
Lucky for them my child was with me when I picked it up, unlucky for them I don't like being taken for a mug and have started posting online damning reviews.
Small comfort to the ex rodent currently residing in its final resting place - an Asda smart price dishwasher tablet box.

Ain't that the truth! Still, I would be all over new stuff if I could so good luck to those who can.
Bah, just noticed a blooming big shrub that's taken root on my chimney stack, dislodging some of the rendering. At this rate I'll be lucky to afford dialup broadband let alone the next gen gaming experience

You can keep hamsters, horrible spiteful things who only come out at night just to be annoying. Guinea pigs however are cute fluffy things that go out of their way to please, they even eat their own poo in an attempt to tidy up after themselves!

You be ok most on here have disability Scooters with the shopping basket attached obviously though mine has a Turbo and go faster Stripes ?

Bit in limbo at the moment, my mate hasn't come back to me with how much he wants for his XB1 and I'm still waiting to hear back from insurers re settlement for water damage, so I haven't pushed him.
One thing you may have experience of is how decent is the XB1 playback of 360 backwards compatibility games?

All backwards compatibility games are digital so need to be downloaded

No you have to use the 360 disk to confirm you own the game if you don't buy the backward compatible version digitally .

All BC games are downloaded, If you have the disc you just put the disc in and it then sends you to a download for the game, You then need the disc in the XB1 to prove you have the game (that's your kind of licence to play it if you didn't purchase the 'proper' digital version), If you had or buy the digital version then no disc needed.
