That's not true. I used to be with sky and the line was useless for gaming. Credit where credit is due however, they tried many different ways to improve it but couldn't.
Rang BT. They said it was a common problem with Sky's poor exchange equipment and that they would reverse the problem. So silly old me signed an 18 month contract.
Though they did stop the line pausing so often, they brought the speed down.
They should have told me that they couldn't improve the latency.
Sky apparently turn the interleaving up high to give good speed at the expense of latency.
BT turned down the speed and increased the latency!
The difference to me? About an extra £20 a month.
Can't wait to get away from them.
Knowing how it works is completely different to understanding how it works.
