We'll see, check the store link it says the 19th, so unless that date changes PC players will be playing then, thats 9 days away. Unlike the 22nd for retail.
Have you read the ARG stuff? Some crazy stuff in there but the latest stuff was this:
rele4sed/ 'Kick 1t' ahead of schedule. that was a test. my 9oal/ is 2 emancipate s0meth1ng else early. but they're on to me. the systam 1s _ in lock down. i s7ill have access to thirteen off-site chambers and AM= inst4llin/ a test 1n each one. i am going to need a lot more test 5ubjects/ 2 m0ve forward. wa1t1_n9 and AM expecting immediate compliance.
From the ARG website:
Hidden in the above text through numeric replacements and out-of-place capitals is the following: "4/19/2011_7AM=4/15/2011_9AM"
As of 10:00PM EST, the release date for Portal 2 is listed as 1 week, 3 days, and 12 hours, according to the Steam store page. That is exactly 10:00 AM on April 19th. 10:00 AM EST = 7:00AM PST, which is Valve's native time zone. This confirms beyond a doubt that those dates found in the secret message refer directly to Portal 2's release. This can be backed up with the opening sentence, stating something else is planned to be release early. Whether they mean it will be released early, opened for pre-load, or have a demo uploaded on April 15 remains to be discovered.
There is a chance that it could be released early, it could be a demo, it could be preload, it could be anything, but with the fact the game its done through steam and stuff its entirely possible of an earlier release. Until other stuff happens with more clues and what not we won't know.
P.s: i bet you a decent gaming pc for yourself
