BFBC 2 on the PS3

As you know I keep banging on about my sub 1 meg high latency blah blah blah excuse for a connection. Well now FTTC has arrived, and fingers crossed I will be running at 40/10 by Easter.

One game I really liked but never really played was BFBC. It really was unplayable for me. But on the new connection it should not be a problem.

The question is, I have found BFBC 2 in Tesco at 15 quid. Should I grab it or play the first episode (that I never traded) beforehand?

You need the VIP pack then you get all the maps

This, i'd skip it and find the ultimate edition (new) some where which has all the dlc in it, it shouldn't be much more.

Theres no requirement to play BC1 before hand you will lose nothing from skipping it, although IMO BC1's story was more humorous which worked for it, BC2's didnt have that humour, kinda made it feel hollow going from bc1 to 2, saying that its not bad at all.

But story aside, is BC2 the better game online and tech/visuals wise?
