Point is i would rather get a Apple mac than a PC if i am totally honest but i don't think you can get Battlefields or many games for the Mac can you.

Spent £1800 at Scan 3 years back and to be totally honest its not that great and the support sucks Big Time once they have your money.

Give me a few pointers as to where is the best place to get a high end pc at a good price, i hate places were you have to configure your own and i really want something that can max out games regardless and not something that is struggling 3 months later.

Ah, well, I build my own so don't know where to go for pre-built. I'm sure someone here does though. Not considered the DIY route?

Mac gaming is getting better, especially thanks to Steam now supporting it but obviously the latest games are still pretty unlikely to appear.

It really is, i7 sandy bridge, 560ti, 6+gb of ddr3, a PSU to keep it running, etc you can do it all under a grand if you dont want a monitor. PC would be a warbeast, i dont think anything except BF3 on its highest will put it to proper task smile

Although if you wanted to scale it back you could build the PC Gamer rig which clocks in under 500 and is still pretty beasty.

I don't understand people's obsession with Macs. Only Apple could get away with charging the money they do for the specs they offer..

Just splashed the cash myself not alot in total approx £420 all in, for a whole new build which I'm sure will play games at acceptable levels at 1080p.

My friend bought his from PC Specialist, so far he's been happy with them. It was a i7 290 rig so not much to go wrong anyway.
