That's one of the reasons I never understand why people continuously say console gaming is cheaper. If you buy a lot of games in a year, the savings from each game can pay for enough upgrades to keep your PC at a high enough spec to play most things well. Especially if you wait for a month or two after releases.
Well, as long as you are competent enough to do the upgrading I guess. My current rig is 2 years old, cost 650 (which was high because I replaced everything) and is more than powerful enough to run everything I've thrown at it, and will do for another 2-3 years before I will need to be upgrading the CPU/GFX. But maybe that's thanks to the poor quality of consoles
I can work on it to, and it has a decent control system
Consoles are more convenient, sure, but not as cheap as people seem to think.
