The MW side of the franchise has certainly beaten anything Teryarch have managed to come up with. The SP in both MW and MW2 is lots of fun but the MP took forever to receive any kind of balance in the guns, and as a PC player IW.net was woeful. I don't own a console so I don't know if finding a game is horrible in all console games, but in the PC the server/client model is king. For good reason. Also the MP side of the games have become more arcadey with each installment. Oh and cheats - lots of cheats.

Now heading towards MW3 we have a big chunk of IW gone and 2 new developers drafted in to assist with the game. IW.net is also making an unwelcome return. Don't get me wrong, I want MW3 to be good and if it is then I will hand over some hard earned cash and get it. I am watching things closely and crossing my fingers but I am not overly confident.

I am not happy with how the games seem to have gone downhill from CoD4 and yet the profits are going uphill. I am not the only one who thinks this and yet some people keep blindly buying the game at release - it hardly pushes Activision/the developers to create the best possible product.

BO came out about 8 months after BC2 and I know that I was buying BO because there was nothing else really around at the time. This year will be different with BF3 on the scene. I am 100% sold on BF3 and will be content not to play a [censored] MW3, so they have to prove to me they are worthy of my money!
