Origin is still the EA download service, its branding has constantly shifted (EA download service to EA link to download manager to EA Store then to EA Downloader (still with store though) and now were at Origin, same [censored] different label) , except now EA has seen how much Steam is pulling in and is expecting to replicate it.

If EA had started to gradually introduce Origin then fine fair enough to them, but at the moment theyre so aggressively striding a head, going against what consumers want and shoving it down their throat saying you will use it and we'll charge whatever we want for unique versions of stuff on it, then it can only end one way, and if they carry on with it i'll gladly say get screwed EA and go else where. As ive said before, indie devs on the PC are churning out far more unique and impressive games than EA could ever hope to.

its not a very good encode and difficult to judge but i definitely would like to see some MW3 multi player before pining my colours to either game , so September is said to be when there doing the Multi player reveal .

Battlefield is way beyond MW

If they are trying to copy MW then they are doing a bad job because that is fast and frantic and this looks really slow and sluggish............

Don't know why so many Knock MW games because in my opinion they are everything i look for in a FPS minus the hackers ?

I'm not knocking MW at all just saying Battlefield ought not to ape it. They don't need to.

Battlefield has its own style of play, which used to work well for me. BF2, BF1942, (and BF2142 less so).

MW is a great game so if you want to play fast, frantic then go play MW. Just leave it out of Battlefield please. That's the message I'm putting across not that MW is bad in anyway as I don't play it online and don't have an opinion on it.

Heehee. Was a little shocked to see my own words coming back at me. Screamed indeed? But yeah I guess I would love to shout in DICE's collective lugholes and tell 'em to frickin' stop what they're doing and pull out all the MW stuff. Get back to basic BF play! They're very restrictive and unfair terms aren't they. Just slightly one sided.

So Origin is the evolution of the kerappy EA link/download thing. Are these updated ToS conditions only recent?

I know I haven't accessed my EA link account in quite some time so wouldn't be surprised to find the content has vanished. It was only the expansions for BF2 and 2142 and they're free now anyway so no harm done.

Were EA to withdraw my ability to play any game I've bought on CD like BF2 etc then I would go apeshit at them. How dare they.

I don't read terms and conditions as a general rule but of course were Steam to update its own terms of service agreement to effectively say a big fat f-u to its customers and that they can do whatever the hell they like with what I've paid for then I would not be a happy bunny.

I'd never buy anything direct from EA just cos I know what a bunch a greedy fuggers they are, they always have been since the likes of John Madden's and NHL sports franchises got big and earned them super bucks. If they playing about with our ability to play BF3 or BF2 then there won't be any paying customers left for them.

I'm starting to sway towards Red Orchestra 2 myself. Looks like it's shaping up really well.

Not saying you dislike it Spook its just a general negativity to most things MW and not just on these forums but on many other gaming websites.

What makes me laugh the same people that dish the dirt are usually first in the queue to by the game .

Yeah I know mate. People will moan and still pay to play. It's the same with anything really. We all lot a grumble don't we. It's just the need to distinguish between fanboyism and griping that concerned me.

We can all gripe but only a pillock will consistently deride another game/whanot and though you see that an awful lot on the web I didn't think it really applied here to be honest. Anyway, bunch of hypocrites that we are, BF3 will likely give some pleasure for a while. I mean, it's only a game innit? Not a way of life. Or something you have to commit to that costs an extraordinary amount of investment in time and money. Oh wait... !
