I know why you like MACs. Quality pieces of kit in my opinion. Just a tad expensive. We would love one here, but the kids need a computer for school so it'll have to wait for now. They would wreck it!

How good is the picture quality?

In reply to a post by SamsonUK:
I hope you never complain about upgrading, because about all you can do without voiding warranty is upgrade the (REALLY expensive) RAM. Even if you do decide to void the warranty, good luck getting it apart, you'll need a plunger! smile

It's only expensive if you go to Apple for ram. I got another 8GB for my 27" iMac from Scan for about £71.50, works fine.

I find Windows clunky and obstructive, things are not always in a sensible place. The magic mouse is great, I miss it when I am at work (Linux).

BT -> Zen -> F2S -> Bulldog -> Be* -> BT Infinity
Far too many computers, 1 Wife, 3 Maine Coons and too many horses smile

Last time I had to get RAM for a Mac was a couple of years ago, was just over a hundred for 8GB from crucial, at least it's come down a bit.

As for the OS, I've used both extensively, still prefer Windows 7, just feels a lot more flexible for my needs. Everyone's different I guess.

No further comment on the magic mouse, I really don't like it myself, used it for over a year and just couldn't get on with it, maybe it's just my fat fingers laugh

Sorry Guesty my translator is out of town at present wink so I'm guessing you have a Mac and i am now one of your followers.tongue

Only had it a week and i was on the apple support phone line already having completely mucked up the dock and desktop with dragging and dropping folders that were all in the wrong places and some then refusing to open because daft old me had put them in the trash.

Problem is for some unknown reason which was obviously me i had ended up with a application and Utilities folders on my desktop as shortcuts which i do not want,so dropping them in the trash and opening them up at the proper place caused a issue which has now been solved by some Apple tech guy smile

Any tips and tricks Guesty will be appreciated if you are a Mac Owner tongue
