Lag compensation for the host is a nightmare, it makes the game unplayable. Make the host an equal by all means but to actually make the game worse for them being host is shocking, i just leave now if i am host, i am sick of getting hammered just because i have a good connection.

I feel your pain, although I must admit it feels good for someone to corroborate my experience.

The real irony is that said connection makes the game ultimately playable for everyone else.

I have to agree. On Monday night they were alledgedly updating the servers and updating xbox dashboard at the sametime around 11pm to appease the american market (timings) This caused me having to reboot the xbox 3 times before I could get a game as did everyone else. It was like trying to play on a dialup connection ( not that I have ever tried it) I really enjoy the game but the compensated lag is really rediculous. At some point in the game all goes well and people you shoot drop as expected in hardcore but then if your team starts to clean up it reverses and our team finds our bullets are flying straight through our opponents and they shoot you with one shot. This really pis*** me off! I will still play thegame but have been tempted to go back to BO to relieve my frustration.

T2D I will get a game with you hopefully at the weekend and like yourself I have only got into elite once and that was to register all the codes. Since then squat!

When FTTC speeds are raised (if the rumours are correct) next year, living within 50-100m from my cabinet I could see speeds of 60-80meg and still won't be able to play the game, while people with 1 meg will.

I think what you are experiencing is about normal for all COD games. BLOPS was just as bad for me. By unplayable I mean hosting and going down 0-9 within a couple of minutes. Quitting is the only option!

I see you online mate so i guess your with mates so i don't bother you and I'm happy just going in to any Kill Confirmed maps and playing a little solo Survival because it does not seem to like finding another player.

I really love the game but like i said its very much MW2 if i was to be critical but since i loved that game there is little to moan about.

I had the connection issues the other night and basically thought thats it for me so stuff it,no point hanging around trying to connect to a game when all the button options take ages to respond and its jumping all over the place with intermittent music .

Dont worry Nutty about games mate its not a problem because at the end of the day I'm happy playing regardless of who else is logged in or not.

Anyway i see you play search and destroy and i think and i don't play that mode and besides Zelda turns up tomorrow so i am guessing if i get into that then MW3 will be put on the back burner for a while why i concentrate on my beloved Zelda and then some saints row.

still refused Battlefield 3 and never bothered with the new assassins game as i just have far to much to keep me busy for many months to come.

So whats it to be matey MW3 or Battlefield because apart from all your connection problems i have yet to see you give any thoughts and opinions about MW3.

The MP does play completely [censored] on my connection so it's not fair for me to comment really.

As for spec ops I love it and spend most of my time on Survival. I think it has had a minor graphical upgrade and sounds great too. I think there is a little more realism in the gun handling than in previous incarnations but that might just be me. Either way it feels slightly more challenging from that perspective.

The maps I think are excellent. From the games I have played Online there seems to be a massive reduction in Snipers which is a good thing in my opinion. Learning these maps is very difficult and is promoting proper high speed run and gun, which is after all what Modern Warfare is all about.

Started the campaign mode and what can I say. It puts the BF3 campaign to shame in my opinion. Going to have another go at finding a decent server on BF3 tonight. If not, it will be more Survival mode for me.

Yeah i can quite happily load up MW3 and play survival all night on my own,even tried a few spec ops challenges and they were really intense and great fun also.

Hardcore domination ..........You really must be up to speed.

Like mrnelster says its very fast and frantic run and gun game play with little snipers or camping especially in kill confirmed.

Tired eyes ,tired body I'm yet to really get up to speed and need my ACR.

Can be remedied on the PC by altering your config to only allow connections to host where the ping is less than a number you define.

The default, which I assume is the same on all platforms, is a comical 800ms. I switched mine a more reasonable 150.

My mate and I were duly matched into a game with 4 people from N.Ireland. Was fine.
