With the longer games where a round may last an hour, you do need to take a break from all the frantic activity.

Waiting to see how much next DLC is, to judge whether premium is worth the 4000 points

Even though I haven't played all the new maps yet I'm glad I bought the premium. Few perks that seem to make it worth while, like getting the stuff two weeks early and queue jumping while waiting to join a busy server.

Random suggestion, and hope you folks don't mind someone new popping in - @time2die, if you want some faster paced bf3 action have you tried playing TDM on noshahr canals? It's a popular one on PC.

No mate I'm just getting used to Battlefield 3 in general,I'm quite liking it at present and playing capture the flag even though its not called that ?,besides i have the 360 version but i could play team death on that on the map you suggest for sure.

Very tempted to download the new pack that has come out or the subscription whatever you want to call it,i have to say i am impressed now that i have got a little bored with Cod and i am sure i can really get into this game.

Only on Rank 2 so I'm a nobody at the moment wink

Im tempted myself been the hardened Battlefield supporter and player i am tongue

God Swanny.........That statement must have made you squirm wink

£40 is a little steep though and its really the elite service on MW3 implemented by EA to grab some more revenue.

Anyway i decided to go for it but nothing downloaded so I'm a little confused here as to what i have actually got for £40 which is basically 3 times more than i payed for the game.

Suppose to be all the map packs and stuff and all that happened was it told me i had unlocked something which i forgot 2 seconds later.........Was it back to kirkland or something...........Where are all my expansion packs ?

Anyway i really do love this game and i can not for the life of me understand why i did not in the first place, was it those drop dead gorgeous PC footage that failed to materialise and the fact the single player portion of the game was not that good and thats what i concentrated on .

Anyway Swanny i take back what i said as its a far better ,bigger, greater experience than COD and suppose with all your chitty chat regarding the game it made me take another look and I'm glad i did.wink

One thing is unclear to me is .........Am i suppose to collect dog tags when i kill someone, like go over to the body or something, because its seems that other that kill me walk past my body in kill cams

You only get their dog tags when you take them down from behind with the knife

Glad you're enjoying it smile
Conquest is capture the flag.
You might like Rush as well, you either defend or attack two objectives then either move forward or backwards on the map depending which side you're playing.
I prefer conquest and play that mostly

Plenty to be going on with without buying the premium
I played three of the CQ maps again tonight but didn't enjoy it and went back to the bigger maps

The latest 2.83GB patch probably has the extra maps/textures and other bits of Premium already in it.

By paying you simply unlock those features.

Well it seems once you pay you go to the EA store and see the premium content and you have to download it,like Back to Kirkland ?

This is where it gets a little confusing as the first time i clicked on the premium pack Back to kirkland it wanted to charge me £11.99 or something ,but just below is the same thing only not charged if you have bought into the premium service.............Oh well wink

These things are never simple. Got some more live points on the way, as would have bought the other packs in the future. 4000 points is 30gbp so ok I guess

Correct mate. That seems to be the EA way. All of the patches so far for the xbox have been huge as they have all included map packs. So you pay for premium gety a tiny download which unlocks B2K if you didnt buy LE edition and also Close Quarters.

If I can just say as Im sure most are already aware this is NOT COD. I came across to battlefield a few years back since they screwed the PC players over with lack of dedi servers MW2. I love BF but you have to squad up and communicate with your squad or the game will get old very quickly. Ther's no better feeling [ingame :) ] than being in a good squad and talking to each other. It is a little unfortunate that EA has sort of jumped on the COD bandwagon and I suppose who can blame them given the revenue the Activision get from DLC.

Remember if you dont buy the map packs you will probably end up getting booted from servers as the map rotation moves to maps you done have.

Anyway, if anyone's looking to squad up and have a laugh feel free to PM me and Ill give you my xbox GT. I play with loads of guys from another popular UK forum and they are all a great bunch..
