What ping times do you need to be able to play games (without issues) on an xbox?

Now I'm not looking for someone to say 1ms or something stupid, I'm asking what ping should work ok. i.e. if the average ping was 20ms with a max of 100ms would that be ok?

How much jitter is too much?

Depends on where you are pinging to, and ping via command line can be different to in game ping.

25ms is normal to a UK server, 100ms spikes might annoy, but would probably be ok.

How jitter is too much, when you end up taking a minute to walk across a standard game room. Again it is subjective, some throw a wobbly at the first jit and others can play through it.

I'd think that http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28466011/ping.png would be ok.

Although that is just from telehouse and doesn't take into account the pings to other players in the game.
