Lol! Funnily enough I picked up the first Assassins creed in the HMV bargain bin a couple of months ago and decided I hated it in under an hour! And most of that was the introductory cutscene training.

Very late again I grant you, but at least in the right order this time!! grin

Don't you like Assassins Creed then?
I could slate so much about it, but to be honest it's not really my bag so that would a bit unfair. I felt the same way about the splinter cell series.

So what you getting mate,i don't do Midnight launches and sit up until dawn playing games so i wont be picking up Black Ops until the daytime.

You don't have a 360 do you so that means Halo 4 is out of the window,so I'm guessing its Black Ops 2 and Far Cry 3.

Have AC3 on the PS3- is quite a few bugs in the game- horses getting stuck/disappearing.

Wild animals like to get stuck in trees/rocks which is quite amusing at first- infinite supply of wolves in the frontier, can kill like 7-8 in a row.

The game is interesting though the first 4 sequences are with a different character- not till the 5th that you actually get to be the native american/half english man.

Naval combat is just funny, have to try it for yourself and tree running is a bit too much but the series is popular now just have to think of new ways to please the consumer.

Spot on mate. And I'm planning to pick it up from Asda or somewwhere. It's not that I don't trust shopto.net but I have never received a COD game on or before the day. I think it's down to Royal Mail in this neck of the woods not being able (or willing) to cope with the extra demand.

And FarCry 3 is a no brainer. smile

Yeah Far Cry 3 looks awesome and i have it down to be the surprise hit of the year, possibly better than Black Ops but I'm hoping both give me my FPS action.

Never had a single game in 4 years turn up late from Shopto matey, and the only ones that actually turn up on the day of release are the big releases like Halo and Cod games, everything else is a day or two early.

20 years ago i would have nipped out in my car and more than likely gone to the midnight launches, but now i really want my cup of hot chocolate tongue

Besides that i don't really find sitting up to 4 or 5 am that exciting playing a game like some of my mates, generally tend to load up a game at about 9pm and play it for about 3 hours and then call it a night, unless it seriously blows my mind and i find i can not turn the console of.

Think the last game that had me in a daze would be MW1 and Red Dead Redemption and the Dead Space games.

Yeah, I'm aiming to pre order Far Cry 3 this afternoon on shopto.net.

Am I right in thinking I can send cod back for a full refund if it arrives after launch day? So if it isn't here when I get home from work I can go straight out and find a copy? I did that before when HMV let me down but then had to flog the other copy at work.

If so, I'll probably pre order both today.

Don't think it works like that matey not that i have had any issues with late games from shop to.net,first of if the game fails to arrive by the release date they credit your account with £5 [not really a big consolation]

This is there late Game text from there site.

Release Compensate

Release Date Or Compensate (UK addresses only) Hide

As Hardcore gamers ourselves at ShopTo.Net we know more than most just how important it is to receive games by the release date, so we are pleased to introduce a revolutionary and unheard of scheme which will earn you money if we fail to deliver!
For every pre order of a new release product you place with us, you will automatically qualify for a £5.00 store credit should we fail to deliver this product on time.
This offer is strictly for pre-orders of new releases which are made by 12pm two days before the official release date - this will usually be 12pm Wednesday. An item bought as In Stock does not qualify as a pre-order; it must be processed under our pre-order system.
By using 1st Class Recorded Delivery were able to see when our games are delivered, so if you can show us your game was delivered late then well compensate you!

As for sending it back then that is not a option, apparently if the game has not arrived some 15 days later they will send out a replacement which by all accounts is not exactly what you want when you are desperate to play what should be a decent game like Black Ops 2 or Far Cry 3.

Like i have said mate they have never failed me in 4 years but obviously others in the past have had a few issues.
