My point is when i invest in a new Playstation 4 and something like Saints Row 4 comes along and looks like a playstation 2 game then the interest for me anyway is just not there.

I understand the market for these games but in this day and age at least make something that looks half decent and not something that looks like it could have been on a machine 7 years ago.

Developers have got very very lazy and only a handful have the big budgets and seem to push the boundaries and get the best out of these machines,rockstar,sucker punch,naughty dog,ubisoft are such developers but games like Alien Colonial Marines and gearbox just about show the worse in developers and the fact they think they can release utter trash based on a brilliant film franchise and get away with it.

Its not a case of developers being lazy alot of games its their design style in how they look visually, sure everyone could go to the lenghts crytek and dice have done but they dont all have the budget and time to afford to do it or if it even fits in with the game design.

Alien Colonial marines was Sega's fault, they should have kept a tighter watch on Gearbox but they did not and allowed them to ship the game out to multiple studio's and then decided to release it in the state that it was.

Sega were not the developer but the publishers and Gearbox made the tripe,i agree Sega should not have released it but obviously they want there money back.

The first part of my post was separate from the second, gearbox used the money to make borderlands 2 and farmed the work out and just finished the game off to get it out the door both are to blame.

Though at least we did get borderlands 2 which is a really good game.
