Re: GTA 5 Thread

Reviews are as good as expected, 10/10 from IGN and Meta score of 97 based on 21 reviews.

IGN review here

IGN Verdict

Grand Theft Auto V is not only a preposterously enjoyable video game, but also an intelligent and sharp-tongued satire of contemporary America. It represents a refinement of everything that GTA IV brought to the table five years ago. Its technically more accomplished in every conceivable way, but its also tremendously ambitious in its own right. No other world in video games comes close to this in size or scope, and there is sharp intelligence behind its sense of humour and gift for mayhem. It tells a compelling, unpredictable, and provocative story without ever letting it get in the way of your own self-directed adventures through San Andreas.

It is one of the very best video games ever made

So you getting it in store ?

This game could keep me busy for the rest of the year if the multiplayer is also good.

I reckon I might pick up a copy for that. Will have a look tomorrow.
Got to do my bit to support those good honest games developers and their families especially with winter coming on.

Is that the store price? how reliable is the rumour? Tesco online has it for £38, or £32 when you buy any selected points card, network card or subscription. Think I have a £5 quid off voucher somewhere also.

If I really like the look of a game I'll always buy it on release. I'll bargain bin it when boredom buying, but I think 40 quid for games like the TLOS and the Uncharted series is a bargain. It's 12 quid to go to the cinema for 90 minutes nowadays. If it weren't for early adopters there wouldn't be anything for you pikeys bargain hunters, so I wouldn't knock it too much. tongue

On the flip side if everyone bought games on release day there wouldn't be anyone to sell them to after. It seems many gamers who buy release day play the game then trade it and buy another. If you want to truly support the gaming industry you shouldn't sell the games after playing them wink
