Yea you can swap into Chop and sniff out the bloke you're chasing, it wasn't very good as it didn't seem to move very well, all you do is head for the fussy bit on the screen. Then Chop gets a whiff of this biatch and he's gone smile

The first few missions are just getting you into the game, then it really opens up! Wait until you do your first heist if you haven't already, it's brilliant getting a crew together and deciding which way to take it, stealthy or straight through the front door with shotguns wink

Some really nice new gameplay elements in it compared to the other games. I really like what they have done with escaping from the police, very Metal Gear Solid with the cones of view and having to go down alleys, into driveways etc. Slow motion driving with Franklin is fun too laugh

In reply to a post by ccxo:
Normally its just pre-alpha versions of the game that are shown off at E3 etc, there are few demos for games these days as developers preffer to invest the time into the game.

a demo doesnt usually require significant resources, its normally just something thats already been developed and used for testing in house, and then released as a demo. Games are typically developed in pieces and then those pieces are put together for the full game, so a demo would just typically be one of those pieces on its own.

The alternative is to supply the full game but with a time restriction.

I think its more to do with arrogance and wanting people to buy blind, most released videos tend to show very limited gameplay, they usually cutscene focused and when they do show gameplay its in short bursts jumping around so hard to get a grip of what the game is like. My guess at some point a business decision has been made that showing gameplay or allowing gameplay prior to purchase loses sales so its no longer common practice. They dont care if someone hates the game after buying it as at that point they have your cash. This when tied in with retailer exclusive pre order bonuses probably has a huge impact on sales. As people are pressured to buying the game before launch meaning they cant see others play it on youtube etc, get friend's opinions etc. to get that pre order bonus. Notice also how those reviewing the game officially ign etc. get the game before launch but are not allowed to release their reviews early.

When a game like GTA arrives there is no need for a demo and people know what they are buying and if its there cup of tea,the hype alone for games like this and The last of us and many more such as Battlefield and Cod games developers need not release a demo.

And to be honest for a game the size of GTA5 i don't think a demo would do the game any favours or justice.

I dont buy on hype.

as I said in earlier posts I have brought games in the past when I used to believe in hype and hated those games.

I also found gta4 a bit of a rubbish game yet gta1 was brilliant.

Most games are bought on either hype, previews and final reviews ,how else can you see if the game is for you without such media press releases.

So you just buy a game then do you and take no notice of reviews, videos, you just know its going to be for you without any media influence.

You can join us online if you like mate, there are 6 of us at the moment who have the game and are eagerly awaiting multiplayer functionality.

I don't think you could say buying GTA is based on hype, look at the reviews it has got they are absolutely staggering. Any gamer worth his salt should give it a shot for at least an hour or two, although I do not think the theme would suit everyone as there is a lot of adult content.
