That's good to know but maybe there's a small chance there's incompatibility issues with certain models? It's worth ruling out all the same if you're one of the unlucky ones.

Definitely worth a go. I was wondering about the BOSE thingy. Has Timey ever had anything plugged into that port for very long before his PS4? I still think it's heat affecting a connection in the ps4 and more likely on the output rather than a graphics card issue.

I had the playstation 3 plugged into that port and a Xbox 360 in another,Sky Tv in another and no issues whatsoever.

If you're using headphones then you might be best bypassing the Bose altogether? Did you try that weird HDMI port trick you linked to with the guy using g-force to push it back in?

Anyway, you shouldn't have to do weird stuff to get your PS4 working properly. I don't know why I thought you should've tried another TV now. I guess all this tech just gets too er, technical? So many things that can go wrong.
