Well i eventually got around to installing it and i have to say in this respect Microsoft seem to have taken a backward step as the install times are a joke of the highest order.

Loaded disk into Xbox One and hit install,waiting 7 minutes when i then got a message [start playing] hit the start and guess what we get a roman picture with another installing screen that takes a further 20 minutes of yep you guessed it INSTALLING .

So after that i eventually got into the game and it looks very nice apart from its just a glorified button bashing game with extreme death animation scenes, and QTE at the ready , so after playing for about 30 minutes and doing very few things i decided its time to cook the tea,and when i ejected the disk i was given a error message that the game had not finished installing,thats 50 minutes later and the game hadn't fully installed.

Now I'm sorry Jaxx there is no defence here for these very poor install times and like i have said it will more than likely make no difference at the end of the day if it has some really quality games in the near future,but this does not excuse the fact that this is suppose to be a next generation console with far more grunt than a 360,and the 360 installs game at least twice as quick if not quicker.

Yeah we know Ryse is near 40 gig in size but come on,50 minutes later and it still only 3 quarters installed

Don't get me wrong the system so far is a nice bit of kit and so far extremely quiet but Sony have nailed the install and how quick you play a game scenario way better than Microsoft.

I haven't got Ryse, but BF4, AC, DR3 and Fifa 14 all took about 10 - 15 mins to install but I could start playing them after only a few minutes.

Reading the below it sounds like you started playing it after 10 mins anyway? Except for the 20 mins when you opened it that sucks a bit.

Does it really matter if it's still installing if you can play it? Why did you try eject it while trying to make dinner? You could have just left it in and turned your Xbox off and it would have been done when you got back. If you go into Apps -> Settings -> Change the power to Always On it automatically does updates, installs etc. while your Xbox is off.

Plus most people buy one game every couple weeks or a month or something and play it, you buy 3 or 4 games a week and play them for only an hour or two so I guess it would get annoying if the install times were longer. You should try complete a game sometime

But I still don't think it's a problem as like I say, it lets you start playing after only a few minutes.

Jaxx the playstation 4 lets you play after minutes ,Ryse took 30 minutes to install before it lets you play,besides there is nothing like choice Jaxx.

Jealous are we

Wish you would actually read what i actually said jaxx in the first place,having put in the Ryse Disk it took a estimated 7 or 8 minutes of installing,it then said ready to start,so when i clicked on that i was given a intro screen of Ryse and another red loading bar that took a further 20 minutes of loading before i could even start playing the game.

So that was 30 minutes ,so after a quick 20 minutes of playtime as i had other things to do i manually ejected the disk as i still haven't figured out how to actually eject the disk from the home screen with the controller thats when i had the message���Game not fully installed come up ?

So basically i didn't know that even after 50 minutes the game was still installing which however way you want to defend this procedure is not exactly very good for a next generation system.

I'm in a good position to make these good and bad points about both these systems Jaxx because i own them and I'm not a fanboy of either,but when i notice things i don't like about each machine I'm going to post it on here there and everywhere.

If Titanfall blows everyones socks of and they release superb exclusives that are way better than Sonys then i will be singing its praises,and remember i was a great supporter of the previous 360 and 99% of my games where bought for that system��..Why was that ?,because as we know the xbox 360 always had the better looking multi platform game and a better online service.

No things may take a different direction because as i have said and yet have to repeat myself again the playstation 4 installs and lets you play within minutes and the xbox one don't ��.Period

There is no need to keep bringing up other stuff, I don't want to fall out again but you just keep saying the same stuff in all the threads. You keep mentioning the Xbox U turn on policies, Titanfall etc. Everyone knows you have an Xbox and the reasons why you didn't want them. You don't have to mention it in every single thread on here.

I am not disputing the PS4 is quicker to install, I have read it myself and it looks like it is but no that doesn't make me jealous. I was just trying to understand why it is a problem if most games allow you to play after the initial 10 minutes of install. Ryse being the exception to this.

Reading this again do you think I am jealous of you buying a few games a week? I thought you meant jealous of the install times. As if you think I am jealous of buying the games then you are certainly mistaken lol

I repeat myself because certain individuals don't pick up on the original threads,unlike a lot of people that use this forum occasionally and disappear for weeks on end no fault of there own and no big deal.

Im on here posting every single day and i like talking about game consoles and everything thats right or wrong about them.

Of Course I'm going to keep mentioning Titanfall because its a Xbox Exclusive, so in your way of thinking i mention Titanfall once and say something like i wouldn't mind having a Xbox One just for Titanfall but because Jaxx don't like it I'm not to mention it again��..Are you for real..

You have just made another thread about Assassins creed which you have mentioned several times in your posts so get real Jaxx.
