Re: Playstation Plus...Why it's good value

I generally download everything thats available then decide later if to keep them or not, there is plenty of content on there worth downloading.

Personally i thought that if i visited the store this evening i could download every little bit of Playstation plus stuff that was on there and i have.

I understand what Trance is saying that games generally do disappear of the site from time to time or get replaced and then they become a paid item.

But as far as I'm aware if there is 30 games listed under the playstation plus stuff then you can download the lot.

ok it clears that up then.

do games ever become free a 2nd time after been paid again?

or is it the case if someone has missed a free game its gone forever?

Yes but if you download them you can keep them for as long as you subscribe. I think that even if you stop subscribing they will still be available if you then start again at a later date.

I don't think they would have the same game twice as people who already had it would complain.

ok thanks for the info but this can be a bad thing.

lets say I was interested in half the list, would I sign up knowing none of those games are ever going to be free download because they have already been done?

I rechecked the list and I was initially harsh, its more than a few I would be interested in. It is good its for life (as long as stay subscribed), but its also only for life if dont need to redownload it? so if something like a hdd failure is a problem. Or does it flag it was downloaded so the right to redownload stays on as long as subscribed?

This list will grow and grow and if its a cert they never going to do the same game twice it will eventually make it less attractive to new customers (but I agree better for older customers).

Right.

You become a Playstation plus subscriber and download what you want when you want, once downloaded its in your purchase list so if you delete the game or it becomes a payed item in the future you can still download the game if you have deleted it at no extra cost.

It keeps a record of your purchase history so if you wiped the hard drive sold it and bought another you just login with your account details email/password and go to accounts history and download all your content again.

Just like if i went and bought a Playstation 3 today, then logged into my account i could spend the next week downloading all my stuff from over the years providing i had a 4TB hard drive
