Thought I'd wait for prices to come down a bit. Did I miss anything then? winktongue

Zavvi contacted me today to inform me they were cancelling the order I placed with them for an in-stock copy of The Last of Us priced at reasonable £23.99 back on 9th January so I need to find someplace else that's selling it cheap. Damn them.

They're saying it's not in stock, not coming into stock. What they mean of course, is highly likely that they don't want to sell it at that price/can't sell it at that price. Why offer it at that price in the first place then?

frown

I shall have to turn to google and search again. It's feckin' annoying really. Could get it from Play Asia I think. But it might take a few weeks to get here from Japan. crazy

I have little to no sympathy for people prepared to wait weeks for the sake of a couple of quid, there was very little in the way of much difference for that game and you could have got that next day delivery from many places.

You must be one of the very few Spook that would even consider a place like Zavi in the first place, besides what they done after basically 3 weeks is a complete smack in the face and they personally don't deserve your custom or anyone's else for that matter and I'm not surprised they nearly went under a few years back

I'm just tight mate. I like to pay what I consider to be a fair price for a game in the circumstances and yeah, I guess I am a bit of a cheapskate.

I don't like ordering stuff from anyone and then being told a few weeks later they can't fulfill the original request. I'll wait, as I've said before, I'm patient and can wait weeks or months for something.

It's a shame and has happened before when I ordered something somewhere else. I placed an order for an in-stock item at a good price, then they kept emailing every few days saying the item wasn't available. Then 2 weeks or so later, they had to cancel. Only then, in the next few days the item came back into stock at a much higher price. So this is what I'm expecting to happen in this instance. I don't think Zavvi was the place that did this to me last time but I can't remember who it was.

Zavvi did go under as a brand/retail shop. They're owned by The Hut group or something and they used to own this Send It company or something I used to use for DVDs and games in the past. They were ok. I used to use CD Wow too on occasion if they were cheapest. It's not easy in the retail world I guess, bottom-line is usually the differentiator. Anyway... I digress.

I have used Zavvi a few times and had no problems, that is unacceptable the way they have treated Spook though.

Retailers get one chance with me and when he ordered that game it did not say it wasn't in stock and i guess Spook would have expected that game a couple of days later, now nearly 3 weeks on he gets a email saying not got it in stock and not getting any. What a Joke place that is tongue
