That is why I am so careful about buying a game, and insist a playable demo is available before I even possibly think about maybe possibly getting it.
I'm still waiting for the demo of Arma 3 (which they say they will do doing), as that may be the way to go instead of Battlefield. But until one is released, and I can play it, my money is firmly out of Bohemia's grasp. I do of course, sent tweets to Bohemia every so often, suggesting they get a move on with a demo (the last one was enquiring whether it will come out this century).
Its a philosophy that all players should take really - it really makes be chuckle when idiots, er.. I mean dedicated players slap down money before know what the game is like...
It should also be noted that the only reason I bought Battlefield 3 was because Novalogic aren't supporting DFX 2, although it could be said they never supported it to start with...
So, if short - if a games company wants my lovely, lovely money, they have to earn it!
