I agree so why you saying I am beating the old drum dont know, I just responded to what someone said .
The way I see it, you either buy early, but know you wont be getting the best value for money as prices 'will' drop. At the same time you get to use the product earlier tho.
Or you wait and later on is more games to pick from, revised product and cheaper prices.
Or even dont buy at all.
Consumer choice, this choice is what drives the market. This change from microsoft is a good thing in my eyes. Shows the consumer still has some power.
Clearly not enough chose option 1 hence microsoft's rethink.
Of course I recognise when I say value for money, I am pure talking ££ for hardware, there is value in the entertainment, buying a product early gives you enjoyment hence that has to be factored in. If there was a killer game on the launch line up for me I may well have brought at launch.
