Clearly they didnt see it much as a priority, in my mind if not prepared to put proper resources into a platform then dont release on that platform, they probably spent more on marketing than the pc development.
What I feared may be coming true also, when the PS4 was announced with its 8gig video memory, that was a new thing for the industry, and the first thing that entered my mind was this will make developers lazy. One reason developers love upgraded hardware is it makes their job easier, no need to optimise your software so it runs well with less resources. The issues with PC seem to at least partially stem from over utilisation of video memory, the game seems unoptimised.
I also seen comparisons of ps4 vs xbox one, as I said before the resolution diff isnt noticeable, however the xbox one has had other changes like shadow quality been reduced, less lighting effects and has tearing issues, those are noticeable.
