Like I said Jaxx it isn't that I dislike you at all,how can someone dislike someone they don't even know.

There are a select few of what I would call hardcore regulars on here like myself ,nelly,toady,Swanny,trance,Crysalis and a few others.

I like your posts and views actually,but to say your sick of hearing about graphics and PC v Consoles debate is hard to swallow.

Then you tell us that's why you prefer the Xbox forums and that's why you don't visit here as often as others because of the grumpy old men and views that you don't agree with.

Unless you been living in a cave for the past 12 months ,every major game site and journalist has done nothing else but talk about next generation graphics,resolution arguments and everything else associated with gaming and next gen.

Look at all the articles saying how the promised E3 2012 watchdogs footage was what the game would look like on a nice PC and the new consoles ,hundreds and hundreds of sites comparing that build to what we have now on the retail disk.

Personally I think Watchdogs is absolutely fantastic,it's not got the graphical flair of the E3 build of 2012 but am I complaining.

Realistic graphics in games makes the thing a lot more realistic ,try telling Rockstar, Naughty Dog,Bungie and loads of other top developers graphics are not important.

If they wasn't important there would be no need for upgraded hardware and we still be using our spectrum 128 k machines.

I do totally agree that gameplay and addictive games are just as important,but when they got kick [censored] graphics to match that playability then you have the finished article which is way better than either one or the other just on there own.

It's extremely rare when a game gets released with drop dead gorgeous visuals and ends up been a total disappointment ,and accepting that graphics and looks and realism is not as important as just gameplay is a open letter to developers to sit on there laurels and become extremely lazy.

I think it's great that you accept a game for its gameplay regardless of how it looks in 2014 ,I'm different and seek quality ,it doesn't have to have draw dropping graphics but I want to see the leap from past generation and not buy games that look like there from the Playstation 3 era when I have invested money on a console with 10 x the grunt.

So I do not dislike you for one minute,we have had more than our differences over the years and that's expected ,all I ask is you respect that some people are not contented with what's good for you.

Add that we are basically paying £10 to £15 more for these games on the new consoles so I expect way better even at this early stage and so should you .

And The PC v console debate is mainly me and me old buddy Toady having a great little bit of banter that to us anyway brings a smile to our little faces.

Don't forget i to was a PC gamer and nothing else once,but unlike Toady i saw the light and my soul was cleansed and baptised with holy water and the dreaded PC was Wrenched from my mind and i fell in love with the superior and all my sins where forgiven���..Amen Sony Cast out that Wicked Toad as he will corrupt your mind with PC jargon.

It's brilliant Kila and I agree entirely with everything you say regarding Watchdogs,it's going to take me months to finish,like just doing side missions I think I have completed not 10 % of the game!so much to do so much to see!been hacked a few times and I have hacked others.

Not touched the multiplayer apart from people hacking me now and again,oh and the digital dream games like Spider.....what a blast ,yeah Jaxx has played it he talked about it earlier in the week

In fact I could spend a whole evening either just doing side quests or playing the digital trip games,better still I would have bought this game just for Spider and the other mini games.

Absolutely loving it and I look forward every night to putting the game on.....now that's the sign of a true addictive game.

To be honest, "better graphics" is always an ambiguous forum subject. Most people are referring to texture detail. I'm sure next gen consoles will get better and better in this regard, as the generation rolls on.

For me, its all about the quality of those textures. Less is more if the anti aliasing is more accomplished and most importantly, the definition is as high as possible.

That's why I'm not fussed about Watchdogs graphics being on par with GTAV. The only fault I could find with GTAV was the definition. It was generally good, but at times flying around the city on me Lambretta Martini (or whatever it was called!) hurt the eyes.

From what Timey and Kila have said, Watch Dogs sounds more than adequately polished, even if it is pushing graphical boundaries.

no, I have tried various times in past adjusting game resolutions, videos I watch etc. and 720p to 1080p is only noticeable if you look for it.

especially 720p to 900p which is lower gap.

This has been highlighted when we had lots of people claiming 1080p footage was so much better than it turned out to not even be 1080p.

I may deliberatly play games on my pc e.g. on lower than max resolution so I can be sure of better framerate and higher graphical detail. As adding pixels one thing is certian is it chews up video processing time and video ram for little gains.

Granted i dont play on behomoth 40inch screens tho where it may be more noticeable, my judgement is on 22inch monitors.

I think the main downside of dropping resolution on say a 1080p screen is that LCD's dont handle non native resolution's well so may get uneven spread of pixels. Certianly 720p will look better on a native 720p screen than on a native 1080p screen.

Increasing resolution has a point where the benefits become less and less and eventually is pointless, eg. I see 1080p on a smartphone completely pointless, no need for such high pixel density.

Yep, and it didn't quite go to plan for some reason or another. I blame the scaffolders.

Anyway, the upside is I get to sit on my butt all weekend and (if the missus doesn't let me down as it's all her fault ) get to play Watchdogs.

What do you reckon to the resolution (not the graphics) on the Xbone Kila? From the comparison video, other than the small details like the mud on the car (that I wouldn't even have noticed if Iraniangiraffe hadn't of pointed it out) the clarity looked really really good on both consoles?

If GTA online (if it ever arrives) looks as crisp, we are in for a treat there too I reckon.

Obviously it's a job to compare unless you have the two systems running side by side in front of you but to be honest i'm impressed with the graphics so if it's any better on the ps4 then you're in for a treat mate.
You see the thing is if I had a ps4 then for what ever reason got rid of it for an xbox one and realised the bone was less powerful and didn't look as good graphically then I'd be cheesed off.
But seeing as I've not had a ps4 I don't feel that I'm missing out in any way whatsoever!! (other than the exclusives but i guess that works both ways)!!
