Some very valid points there I'm guessing but reading some of the comments it hammers home the fact that the game is incomplete at present.
Once everything is up and running it will hopefully make for a great game but the reviewers can hardly be held responsible for the game lacking the features that were supposed to be the main selling points!!

But they can be held entirely responsible for saying it has poor AI, boring races and isn't as visually impressive as expected. The racing and AI are awful if you were expecting Mario Karts. If you wanted realism you got exactly what you had hoped for. As for the visual criticisms....well, children will be children at the end of the day.

When it gets online proper we will find out if it is boring or easily forgotten from a social standpoint. It may well get old quickly, it may not. But from a technical standpoint the game is blooming marvellous, end of discussion. Any professional gaming reviewer would know that. Click baiters obviously not.

Anyway, you interested in Project Cars in November Jorky? I suspect they will not be accused of failing to reinvent the wheel! I fancy it just for the go karting vids I've seen. It will probably be a bit too "sim" for me, but unlike Gran Turismo you don't have to unlock any of the cars so there should be some fun to be had there racing privately with some mates. smile

A1 are just really hard and unforgiving and it makes for some realistic racing,I'm extremely impressed and absolutely gobsmacked how this game got negative and average reviews based on the 3 hours i spent with it Friday evening.

But Jorkila you have a valid point and its a point that i have made about this game been reliable for online connection and something that its had major problems with.

Personally the game is already 12 months late coming to the table, and these server issues should not have happened and there are no excuses who's ever fault it is,be it evolution studio or Sony one or both need to get there act together because this seems to be a continuing theme releasing games in a poor state, take Battlefield for instance and the problems that continued to have even 12 months later.

When a Game is dependent on online functionality then that part of it must be tested and work day 1 no excuses, the xbox live service works flawlessly and Forza doesn't have any online issues so Sony myst stop feeding us drip fed [censored] excuses and sort it out.

When it came online after a complete evening of been offline last night it was good to see,but it was late i never really tested it and still some of the world time trial scoreboards and other stuff still failed to load and said server issues so its far from fixed and until i see it running totally smooth as silk very hard to judge.

But on single player alone its fantastic, given that this is sold to us as a online game it makes you wonder how even more appealing this game may be when it's functioning correctly.

Yeah Haters just love to hate Nelly and I certainly aint one of those matey!!

I still suspect that I'll get myself a PS4 in the not so distant future the trouble is I have so much going on at the minute along with the fact that I'm thoroughly enjoying the Xbone and the absolute glut of games at the moment I'm not sure when it'll be!!

Project cars does look my cup of tea but again I'm not sure I'll be picking it up just yet seeing as I don't seem to be getting around to completing anything I own lately lol

As for sony's server issues it's something that could be excused on last gen being a free offering but there's just no excuse this time round and something that does put me off owning the console but only ever so slightly wink

Saying that if Project Cars was cross platform I would pick it up in a heart beat wink

They could even make it interesting if they were to make our times cross platform!!!

Yeah I can not defend Sony or publishers for releasing full retail priced games with poor online network issues.....

In fact if this continues I may take another route and buy any online multiplayer multi platform games for Xbox One starting with Cod Advanced warfighter and even the Mighty Far Cry 4.

I don't want to do this as my few mates both have playstation 4s with one of those been Nelly on here.

But I could possibly persuade him to Downgrade to a Xbox One crazy Kila I'm only pulling your leg wink there is much to like about the Xbox One at present and I much prefer there menu layout and online service.

My only gripe is it struggling with 1080p games which shouldn't be happening

I know you're not a hater mate! Me and old man time are as annoyed as anyone and it still hadn't come back online as of 3'o clock this afternoon, so nobody is very happy. madmadmad And it's not just DriveClub. The PSN has been behaving particularly oddly for weeks now, so somebody high up needs a reality check. It's no longer a free service!

But review sites are getting more and more amateurish by the day. They really need to stop going on about "bringing something new" with games, particularly in the racing genre. You can't redefine track racers, just refine them overall and DC has most certainly done that

As for project cars, it has all the real circuits and I'm up for that (especially if I do end up getting a decent wheel and pedal set. I don't really have the patience for sim racing proper, but as all of the cars are unlocked from day one you get to test which ones you get on with and stick to those. I was a massive touring car fan back in the days when I got time to myself. Project cars looks like it could be really good in that respect and I'm not too bothered about doing 200mph in Paganinis etc.

A bit of 100mph argey bargey is more my bag. smile
