Re: Drive club

Playstation network went offline today for what they are saying is unscheduled maintenance to the network in preparation for Firmware update 2.0.

It's just totally unacceptable and a bit of a disgrace if you ask me been like you said no longer the free service it used to be.

If you read my earlier post I said I was seriously considering multi platform games in future getting them for Xbox one ,only the likes of the fact I enjoy are chapitty chats and games with you stops me doing this.

But I seriously have to look at this situation because if anything this network is getting worse when it should be competing with xbox live and even bettering there service.

Quite appalling really when one of there biggest exclusive games of the year can not function correctly because of these online issues....

Personally this is not getting Sony any brownie points and only negativity and frustration and I bet microsoft are gently rubbing there hands together after all there horrible troubles in the past.

Problem is with Sony ,they have stood still since there console reveal and Micrisoft poor showing, however Microsoft are now realising there grave mistakes and are making small impacts on the Sony sales and things are becoming a little more even.

I do not want one of my most anticipated games of the year Far Cry 4 ruined because of Sony network, and Nelly you seriously may have to consider a Xbox One mate because I'm telling you now having used both services and had all the consoles the Xbox Live service is on another level compared to Sonys .

I know you're not a hater mate! Me and old man time are as annoyed as anyone and it still hadn't come back online as of 3'o clock this afternoon, so nobody is very happy. madmadmad And it's not just DriveClub. The PSN has been behaving particularly oddly for weeks now, so somebody high up needs a reality check. It's no longer a free service!

But review sites are getting more and more amateurish by the day. They really need to stop going on about "bringing something new" with games, particularly in the racing genre. You can't redefine track racers, just refine them overall and DC has most certainly done that

As for project cars, it has all the real circuits and I'm up for that (especially if I do end up getting a decent wheel and pedal set. I don't really have the patience for sim racing proper, but as all of the cars are unlocked from day one you get to test which ones you get on with and stick to those. I was a massive touring car fan back in the days when I got time to myself. Project cars looks like it could be really good in that respect and I'm not too bothered about doing 200mph in Paganinis etc.

A bit of 100mph argey bargey is more my bag. smile

Less of the Old man Time wink I'm going to whip your [censored] at Drive Club in 2015 when they eventually sort out this shambles with the online crazy

Excellent video mate, nice find. smile

But unbelievably there are still people in the comments calling it a conga line, so no driving ability AND no idea of real life race behaviour. :/

Was playing it last night and its extremely tough but also extremely satisfying once you have mastered it,personally i think the handling and driving mechanics are spot on and the more i play the more i love it.

Online was of yet again in my brief hour session then just before i finished the online mode came back on flashed up with a green message across the screen.

Trouble is when i clicked on multiplayer nothing really happens and the only option is to invite your friend, and if they are not online there is nothing you can do with the mode.

A lot of the tables in the online side failed to load so all is not working correctly and only snippets of the online mode function from time to time and its a long way from a stable online mode.

We need to check out the modes in the online Nelly when your available hopefully later this evening then text me.

Have to agree, I had a go of this over my mates house and it was a decent game but due to network issues etc it was single player only.
As we've both mentioned before when it was free Sony had an excuse to have a poor online service, Now they charge as well they have no excuse, M$ is light years ahead of Sony in the Live/PSN department.

Yes Microsofts service is a cut above the Sony network and i have already started thinking should i really be buying the likes of online based games like Far Cry 4 and Cod Advanced Warfare for the playstation 4 and should i really be buying it for the more stable service that is Xbox Live mad
